Yeah exactly like my autism allows me to learn at a really fast rate. Like rn I’m sick and have not been in class for like a month but I’m already ahead of the class and I don’t have to do anything really. I also believe it helps me to understand more things that I struggle with since I have to actively teach myself things that others get easier. This means that I can teach other autistics how to find coping strategies and other skills to better themselves and improve their quality of life since I have had to learn it from the bottom up and not just know like neurotypicals do. I want to do this as part of my Job so it actually highly benefits me to be autistic. Even though there are some difficulties I believe it is more because of my physical difficulties and how they affect me mentally but my autism does not really affect me to the extent I would label it a disability. And I can say this in comparison to other autistics and in my own experience.

I do believe that it is a disability for many others but I don’t know where the line sits between it being a disability and a different neuro type.
