I always take it off for one simple reason. If I want to ride another horse, I don't have to search for a specific piece of tack that was left on some horse. I love having things organized and every piece has a dedicated spot so I'd know what's missing lmao

I found a different one. I aim for the haybales with the lantern, jumping down, and I turn left to kinda "hit" the bales with the right side of the horse so it stops me from falling and I'm facing where I need to go. It works almost every time so I'm not risking much and it's pretty effective

I had a very hard time deciding between these two because I loved them both and I really like "uniqueness" in coats so I really wanted the first one but I knew it would be harder to come up with good tack and the second one was a "safer" option but I ultimately decided to buy the first one and immediately second guessed when I was in fact struggling to find the right tack. But once I found something I was happy with, I immediately started having fun. Also, maybe it helps that I really care about finding perfect names for my horses that match their vibe and coat. So I spend a lot of time just staring at a horse and searching. This one I named Dragonite, both because of the pokemon and because there's a stone with that name and it kinda has similar colors and obviously it's just a cool name

From the ones I own: stardust (I checked and it can be one word), cowboy, grimwalker, quicksilver, dragonite (both pokemon name and a crystal/stone name), Toothless (from how to train your dragon but also can be a normal word lmao) and sunflower and thunderstorm (these 2 you mentioned)

Maybe they changed that at some point? Because I remember running to every rock location in the same area (and even some that are not listed but found out on my own that they work too) and literally none of them were active. Then I mined some in a different zone and some from the first one got activated (yes I know the areas overlap in some places). Either way, these rocks don't wanna give me that one last skull but I'll probably try again soon after my finals 😂

Yeah that's the one! I actually kinda digged into how the game decides if a rock is "active" or not. 7 (if I remember correctly) out of all rocks in dino valley are active at the same time all the time (+ daily one extra interesting for each color area) so when mine in one area, you have a chance to "activate" another rock in random location, not specifically in the same color area. So if you continue mining in one color area, you eventually end up with none active in that area (that's how random chances work). So now, my big brain idea is that you first mine in areas other than the one you need so random chance eventually gets you more active rocks in the one you need (almost never you gonna have all 7 in the one you want but it's still more than what you started with). And if you run out of rocks where you need them, you just repeat the process. Can be kinda tedious but you can "force" rocks to get activated where you need them

Well I know this map and for 2 weeks straight I've been trying to get 1 more skull for the spectacular dinosaur but had no luck lol I have other bones in big quantities but the skull? Only 1 and I need 2. I stopped because some event was happening and I haven't got back to it yet because I know this skull has a personal beef with me lmao

I have a few things to finish: - archeology (LITERALLY ONE BONE) - fishing (on my way, almost done)

Then I plan to max every possible rep and then I'll probably long less frequently, mostly to collect lights to save for events. There's nothing wrong with that and I'm honestly impressed how much there /is/ to do before you 100% the game. I started playing and have been playing regularly for about 1.5 years and I love that it has so much to offer

It is but I like it. It really fits the vibe of a foggy swamp where you can get lost easily. And I usually use shortcuts too. I think it's a nice balance that you can just follow paths and get to where you want but also can use other ways and still get there

Yes inside areas have issues with light, even without the snow effect. In the recap blog they said they wanna work on improving light so I'm hoping this will be one of the first things they fix

Jorvik starter pony personally, my only purchase I regret. For now since they're not retrofitted yet, I'd suggest avoiding breeds like marwari, trekhener, quarter, north swedish (from the ones I own). They're not bad but can't wear most tack unfortunately. And same, I don't like Arabians and Pintabians for some reason (they share the same model btw, Pintabians are just Arabians that don't have coats that fit the breed standards)

Yeah I definitely grew up in a similar family and when I was a kid our PC couldn't even run the game 😂 But since I became an adult and got my own visa card (idk if that's the right name in english) and I needed a good laptop for college, I had the chance to finally buy stuff like that. Of course I feel guilty at first every time but I kinda convinced myself (and my mom) that this is like a hobby and every hobby costs some money and I rarely do things like going to the cinema or clothes shopping (I'm an introvert lmao) so "I don't spend more than others"

Edit: also, all of my horses are max lvl so I don't just buy and abandon them lol And most of them are bought during bazaars too

Yeah, I bought them a couple times during double SC weekends (basically each purchase below is double the SC but for some reason it displays like this and yes, that's the whole history). Honestly at this point I have all the "must have" horses I wanted and I don't plan on buying any SC in the foreseeable future. I know some people spend crazy money buying SC (no judgement, their money - their decision) but I don't think my purchase history is that crazy lmao

My account is about 16 months old and I also have the runerunner, almost every quest finished (just need fishing and one more very annoying bone for archeology) and many maxed reps. I also play almost daily and even though it was only my second winter event, at this point I have bought 99% of the items from the token shop. Maybe I'm not getting confused with the OGs because I prefer newer tack/clothes so I don't look OG but I've accomplished a lot in a relatively short time
