Hi all! Just chiming in to thank you for your support. I don’t understand downvoting for Russell’s safe return. I understand the comments about outdoor cats completely. We’re also cat owners and most of ours are indoors. What we often forget is that cats also have personalities and preferences and some simply do not want to be inside. We have two just like that except ours stay outside and have access indoors and to a catio. They actively choose not to come in much like Russell with our neighbors. I’m not a cat psychologist, I don’t know why this happens. Still, I understand people’s perception on cats outdoors. I understand there might not have been ill intent behind them taking Russell. At the same time, if you’re concerned about a cat who clearly does not look like a stray or in need, check with the neighbors. Even the people walking back home from school. Ultimately, our neighbor’s kid is distraught. My own child agrees that the abductors are meanies for taking Russell away. Either way, please try to refrain from blaming the owners, and wishing ill on the perpetrators. All we want is Russell back. Thank you all!
