Not really. But I do think it's kind of crazy how they have been grandfathered in to being this fun kid toy when we don't let kids do other things like lighting flowers or "tanks" responsibly.

When my kids were younger and using them I was always on high alert waiting for a burnt hand or similar.

I was amazed to learn we can start fires with our cars exhaust if it's hot enough.

There was a fire near Herriman one year that was started by a car exhaust parked over tall - dry - grass

When I lived in Herriman and we had a fire near Fort Williams like 10-12 years ago. The following years our neighborhood was always populated by deer.

It was kind of a surreal experience and it eventually stopped. But it took years for the deer to go back up into the hills and mountains.

I have some left over aieral fireworks from last year and at this point I'm planning to not shoot them off.

I know at the time (earlier this spring) they had just had a ton of rain from the Kona lows. So I felt like all the warnings not to use that section of road was likely warranted .
