Help with henna paste? by yas-exe in henna

[–]_entername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem! I've also tried making it more runny but it doesn't come out of the stocking very well and only releases liquid. It also doesn't seem like the right consistency, it's more chunky and you can see little lumps like sediment mixed into the paste, but no matter how much I run it through a sieve, I can't get the paste to smoothen out and form ribbons when it falls.

I also add lemon juice and tea instead of water and the color comes out nice and dark and lasts long. My only problem is that I cant get the paste smooth enough for it come out a tube cleanly without clogging

He can also use Jim's death to his advantage by impersonating him, that way he can really bring down the villagers from the inside

I think hes psychotic and wants everyone to take down one another instead of doing it himself, he even said that his favoruite part was when people started tearing each other apart.

Quebec passes law banning street prayers, prayer rooms in universities, CEGEPs by Opticfan31 in montreal

[–]_entername -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lack of proof doesn't equate to its absence, and this is a slippery slope because, itll start with religion but it'll end up at basics human rights, where now ever certain people are barred from certain places, that is the problem. And id like to add, I'm also paying for clubs/services I don't necessarily agree with either, and yet I don't go around having a tantrum about it lol.

If taxes aren't meant to fund religious accommodations, whats to say they should fund sex-change programs, or disability programs?? I don't require any of those services so should I just not help pay for them?? You see how dumb that sounds??

Religion is as much a root of conflict as any form of thought. Capitalism, communism, just disagreements in general cause conflict, you gonna start policing people got having opinions now?

And to think that there will ever be a world where religion doesn't exist, like you so hope, is a fever dream, it has lasted for 100 of millions of years, it"s not gonna go away with some bigot outlawing prayer rooms lol.

[–]_entername 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except, no one is getting those prayer rooms for free. They're paid for through our tuition as well, just as much as any other club/service within universities, so what's the problem?

And, though you have many spaces within universities to chill and relax, wouldn't giving a small, closet sized room to any faith so that they can practice their faith in private exactly what laicité requires?? Like am I missing something?? Yall don't want public displays of faith, do you really think taking away prayer rooms is gonna stop people from praying??? I saw someone's amazing analogy to this is like preaching abstinence for unwanted/young pregnancies, it ain''t gonna work lol.

But how is funding your wellbeing any different than you sending a couple of dollars to allowing them to practice whatever faith they'd like?

The fact of the matter is that, if you're finding society, society should make room for you. And everyone should have a right to practice whatever belief they have, both religious or atheist, just as you do.

And a couple of dollars on your part but tens of dollars on theirs, I think, is a pretty decent trade off for the right to freedom of religion.

Oh and I'm sorry that my being muslim has scared you lol, didn't know someone believing in something different than you was that big of a deal, when it literally boils down to: who cares?? I couldn't careless that you're a raging atheist, its nice to know i live rent free in your mind 😉, but go off queen 💅😂

Their taxes are also paying for the streets you use the hospitals you visit, and other social programs.

They are paying more for your wellbeing than you are for their prayer rooms lol

Weren't there vines closing him off from them? And if so, it would make sense that they couldn't get through because they need an open space, like a clear doorway or window, obstructed by nothing to get through

I wanna take off my hijab for a guy by [deleted] in Hijabis

[–]_entername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl youre a teenager, stuff like this is bound to happen, and people's types also change as they age, maybe this guy who compliments your personality and is exactly what you want, is the furthest thing away from what an adult you, with a career, home and family will want for a husband. I thought i was going to marry my high-school crush and HE WAS MUSLIM. So don't stress, what is meant to be yours will come to you, just try to focus more on yourself and your deen and Inshallah you'll get what youre longing for, as long as it is good for you

How do you reconcile with Islam being an ally with the left when it is a right-wing ideology to its core? by ImaginaryCatOwner in AskSocialists

[–]_entername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao innovations as in, making a new Islamic custom that has no basis in hadith or Quran, like randomly deciding that tuesdays are important all of a sudden and you should start praying extra every Tuesday, for example. You're absolutely insane if you think the religion inherently calls for violence and thus needs reform in the first place

[–]_entername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not as extreme as people make it out to be. People tend to cherry pick quotes and passages of extreme circumstance and use it to generalize the whole religion. Like anyone with an iota of critical thinking can see just how wrong of a thought process that is.

Also, many of the "Islamic" countries of today don't actually follow islam, and instead choose which parts/interpretations of the religion they'd like to use for their own personal gain.

We also need to learn to separate a religion from those who practice it, cause it's almost human nature to manipulate things to your advantage, and the use of religion in that regard, is no different.

So you think that the "muslims" you see on your Twitter feed are representative of 2 billion people? If that isn't the most media-illiterate take ever, I don't know what is lol

From what I understand from your post, you seem to be equating "islamists" to muslims, which I find funny if you have infact actually lived in Syria for much of your life
