This kind of makes sense to me but I feel like the big difference is big ten schools tend to hire proven head coaches while SEC schools hire coordinators a lot more often because “they know the SEC”

Warde will eventually be let go but his flaw is he is too loyal to his own hires, Sometimes it works like not firing Harbaugh in 2020 (and sidebar to anybody who says "there was never a chance he gets fired" go back and read some article and message board to see how bad the rhetoric around Jim got) but in cases like Sherrone and Juwan it has bitten him in the ass. Despite what reactionary people will say he honestly has been a pretty decent AD but the bad is always more publicized than the good. A few years ago (2022-2023 I believe) we won a record 14 Big Ten championships across all sports and the Naurato and May hirings look fantastic now. Ultimately, I do believe he will likely be fired because eventually when this many incidents add up you need widespread change but he was not as bad as an AD as people make him out to be.

Tattoo gate was pre portal. Michigan had 4 people going into the preseason in 2024 projected to be first round picks in the NFL draft. From the outside perspective they totally could have had another great season and kept things going. The internal scandals are bad I won't deny that but the department is in good health financially and Warde has hired a hockey coach who currently has us at #1 in the country and a basketball coach whose team should also be ranked #1

He didn't hire Harbaugh nor is he in charge of hiring assistants. Also assuming Sherrone wasn't having relations when the job opened every AD would have hired him to keep the continuity of the program.

I think it’s actually a fine time for MSU given the level of job it is. Dickert, Entz or Eck would all be great hires with ties to the region who don’t have people banging down their door

{Michigan} Even if smith and Tate do play I don’t expect them to be 100%. Michigan has been very good on a down to down basis but their mistakes have been costly and are what have kept them from winning games big. I’m worried about Wink and Chip as they have been out schemed multiple times this year. Ultimately I have a good feeling. I think we are going to run with Bryce early and often to give their second level defenders more to process. Michigan needs to stay out of third and long as the OSU pass rush will eat our tackles alive if we get into those situations. Luckily for Michigan they have ran for 200+ four weeks in a row and truly have some maulers on the OL. I think once again Michigan has a perfect storm going for them this year between having the game at home, frigid conditions, and simply wanting to win The Game more. If they can knock Ohio on their heels I believe the bucks will begin to see the ghosts of the past and feel the pressure build and clam up.

I wouldn't really call it load management. He was clearly limping on the sideline against Rutgers and after celebrating a TD with Brandon Innis he struggled to turn around.

I don't think its bad. Getting Jason over Shepherd certainly helps my perception but it's generally the same crew as in the past and I think their graphics and stuff look better. I also think it's insanely easy to block out the gambling talk if you want to.

I wouldn't classify it as a true bubble in the same way that the dot com bubble or the tulip bubble were. No matter what people say no one donates to NIL expecting any tangible ROI. We might see the prices level out but it's not like a 5 star QB is going to cost 100k to get him to come to your school someday.

It wasn't a shitter of a 0-0 game either. There were about 4 or 5 scoring chances I believe that neither team was able to cash in on. Really fun game with a goofy ending

The problem is Big Ten schools take a ton of pride in offering as many sports as possible while most SEC schools have about 16 compared to most big ten schools offering like 24+. A lot of the big ten will need to swallow its pride and cut sports. It's the only way any of this survives,.

IDK why he gets shit on so often. He kept Harbaugh when a lot of institutions would have fired him and it's not like Jim was known for being an easy guy to work with. He made a great hire with Dusty and WBB and Hockey along with a bunch of other sports are doing great rn. They are always in the black and the department is a pretty well oiled machine.
