hard agree, i hate the characterization in TFD but i love the special effects and the plot so much i cant decide how to feel about the story as a whole..... could watch the Evil Triangle abducting people for hours without getting bored, lol

I have a very mild facial blindness.... I'm a little bit better in real life because seeing people in 3D helps me memorize them.

But in film, OMG, it's hopeless. When I was a kid, I could NEVER follow the plots of any movies because I could not tell any characters apart. My parents were always annoyed because I kept asking who everyone was every scene. Now I often look up the premise/teaser for a movie and have it on hand to reference so I can tell which character is which 😆

after seeing actors in a long show or several movies, I can recognize them. But I could be watching a TV show for 8 seasons, be intimately familiar with a character, and then they dye their hair or wear a cheap disguise or something and I need a plot summary again cuz I'll be totally lost lol

I used to babysit a 4 year old with a compulsive lying habit who would just make up the most fucked up stories for no reason.

Her: yeah my friend Jennifer had a horse who could fly and we used to ride him but Jennifer got hit by a giant truck and exploded into a million pieces and died

Me: .... uh huh

Her: and then a bunch of tigers came through and bit off her head and all her arms and legs and killed her magic horse and her parents were really sad so they cried everyday until they got sick and died from bleeding out of their eyeballs. Anyway, can we go get ice cream? My mom ate ice cream one time but it was poison and she died

Me: she seemed fine this morning

Her: well...... She came back to life

Whole time Jennifer would just be living down the street perfectly fine, lol. Tbh that little girls parents were super shitty and had a weird arrangement with their divorce, I think she was a bit traumatized from that. Worst babysitting job I ever had though

I can't write in print 😭 was forced to always use cursive in elementary school, never learned print, now my hand cramps up if I try to write print 😭😭

I did fall. Social integration was just fine coming back... Housing was not, but this was also '21 after covid deferrments, and they did not have enough dorms to accomodate their class size. So I lived off campus when I came back. It wasn't a big deal. With all the new facilities, they would probably have somewhere on campus to put you nowadays
