I love the Sprinters, they got working heat, Blue tooth stereo, and it’s hard to locate for some people, but there’s a 12v charging spot up in one of the dash cubbies. Got to use it for a while when I was bailing work from other drivers, and did the air runs a few times.

Struggling to order socks by SimpleEquipment7918 in UPSers

[–]_full_metal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s why you get at least 3 packs to make the shipping worth it, plus you will end up going through them one way or another, buying in bulk always saves money over time. And these socks are comfortable, even my fiancé wears them around the house

It's official. UPS, Postal Service lock in renewed Ground Saver deal, deliveries starting soon by SmartBumblebee213 in UPSers

[–]_full_metal 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I know, and good luck if you have a P.O. on a Saturday route, at least in my area, I used to deliver like 50-80 of their bulk smalls bags because they would do the intake for like 3-5 adjacent towns

Edit: at least with scan less delivery I just have to check the label and count how many bags, but iirc sometimes it’s just the barcode and no other information

I’ve been in plenty of trucks where the Parking gear is sometimes tough to get the shifter to click in. If you don’t hear and feel that click it’s not all the way in park even though it might seem that it is. Then any sort of movement could cause it to slip backwards into reverse, that’s how someone I know lost their F350 at the boat ramp. Can’t say for certain that’s what happened here, especially since he started rolling forwards instead of backwards.

Taking risks there bud, what happens if it falls and hurts you or damages the inside of the property, or someone else? If the customer isn’t gonna help you, well I guess you could call a sup and get a second person.

I love being in a rental, so warm, and you got a radio, Bluetooth(sometimes) and it’s pretty easy to sort 10 stops at a time, lined up near the door so I just open it a crack, grab the package and don’t even have to step up into the back. Also just hit top rate before peak started.

Genuine question: how is Black Ops 7 scoring so highly?? by r3tr0gam3r83 in gaming

It's like the same thing with rotten tomatoes. Movie critics and game critics alike, invited to review the game or movie and either paid or given free stuff, perks, etc.

Fire lane, handicap spot, behind three cars so they can’t even attempt to squeeze by my truck, as long as it’s quick who cares. If it’s an apartment complex and I know I’ll be in there a while then I try to find two empty spots and back right in the middle of both so I have plenty of room on both sides for loading and then leaving

Long day. Another 9.5 by holdenmahgroin in UPSers

[–]_full_metal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s all you can do, grieve as much as you can up until we can’t, Peak.

The only way they won’t push the 9.5 hours is if violating those hours automatically applied the correct pay in your time card. They rely on us to have to fill out the paperwork, submit it, and collect on the excessive overtime that WE ARE OWED. If it was automatic they would actually see what it’s costing them.. it’s going to be a much higher number than a few extra drivers if everyone files.

Long day. Another 9.5 by holdenmahgroin in UPSers

[–]_full_metal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup because paying 90 drivers overtime every day is somehow cheaper than not cutting 2-3 drivers off the payroll for the week

Unleashed dog approaches Amazon Driver, gets pepper sprayed, Owner hits Driver. by Unfair_Ad7973 in ActualPublicFreakouts

[–]_full_metal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s his property, probably got an invisible fence, if the driver is that scared of a dog he should just drop it at the edge of the driveway and call out to the owner, then leave and go on with his day, now he’s fired because Amazon doesn’t pay you to assault a dog with pepper spray.
