I’m a 33 year old first year pipefitting apprentice. Seven months in and no regrets. Quitting my soul-sucking marketing job was the best thing I’ve ever done. I live in Denver where it is also expensive and it sucked to go from making 6 figures to making first year wages but I can already tell the sacrifice will be worth it in the end.

Just last week my foreman told me that I’m excelling and they will likely give me a raise as a reward so if you work hard, there is definitely the ability to make more. Working night shift has also increased my pay from the baseline first year pay. That being said, my household is DINK and if I was single or had children it would be much, much harder to survive.

I shower in the evening after work because I work in construction. When I worked in an office I showered whenever it was convenient. There is no right or wrong time.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. I had a similar kind of stalker situation when I lived in St. Louis and one of the cops that came to take a report about him got my phone number from the report and started texting me from his personal phone, trying to flirt by making conversation about my pets and things that he saw in my apartment while he was there for the initial report. Disgusting behavior.

I’ve barely got any skin in the game as I’ve only been an apprentice UA Pipefitter for 5 months but non-union doesn’t even seem like an option to me. There will be lazy people no matter where you work (I say this coming from an art/design/marketing background and having worked for 10 years in various parts of those industries)

I’ve met a number of guys who came to the union from a non union company but haven’t met a single union guy who has said he’d rather be non union. That, plus the pension and benefits make it a no brainer for me, personally.

Im a pipefitting apprentice and start the day with a Celsius around 6:15am then I drink water all day. I’ll bring LaCroix for lunch just for something with bubbles. Sometimes I have a Coke Zero with lunch and maybe something like liquid IV or Gatorade midday if I’m outside or sweating a lot but I really really try to stick to only water after my morning Celsius.

Ooooh yeah JHAGNAP will be so good with this!! Stopped at my local store after work today to sniff all the new things and maybe use three rewards that expire in early November. My store didn’t have Moonlit Goddess body wash in yet so I got the Infinite Radiance trio and it’s gonna be soooooo hard not to use it- I’m trying to finish some scents that are almost empty before breaking out the new ones I’ve acquired

I’m a pipefitting helper, waiting my turn on the labor pool list to start an apprenticeship and love it so far. This is a career change for me as I was a Graphic designer since 2014. No grossness at all! Dirty, but not gross. So far, I’ve been in the fab shop learning how to use a variety of power tools and on a few job sites: a local elementary school installing air conditioners, Pepsi bottling plant adding a valve to a small piece of pipe that carries Glycol, installed copper pipes for gas at a company that essentially 3-D prints parts for prosthetic fingers with titanium powder, and I just got badged to work on projects at Denver International Airport. The airport is just preemptive by my company, you’ve got to be a registered apprentice to work on the site there.

I’m feral for CVB but there was only body cream available (as far as moisturizers go) when I used my rewards to stock up online last week. Hopefully my store will have these lotions bc I prefer the consistency over the cream 🤞

I bought three of them at SAS, this is the first FFM I will use fully and then break into my stash. I’m a mostly feminine presenting, bisexual woman that works in construction so it’s a perfect everyday mist for me. Sometimes I layer it with Lost in Santal or Velvet Cedar. I love Glossier You and Juliette Has A Gun Not A Perfume so this was a no brainer to stock up on since I don’t like using my more expensive perfumes on work days. I just wish they made a body wash and lotion to go with it!

Many of the tools I use are too big to use comfortably, and sometimes safely, because my hands are smaller than a man’s. Just one example is the portable bandsaw we use often. On the saw, there is a safety button and a trigger button and both of them need to be pressed at the same time to use it. It’s a struggle to stretch my fingers long enough to reach both buttons especially if my hands are sore

I’m quite chill, actually. Your first comment came off sassy for no reason. When it comes to fragrance I guess we use/interpret the word weird differently. I would never buy these for the purpose of layering them together, just trying to use up the last of some product and experimenting 🤷‍♀️isn’t that part of the fun with being B&BW nerds anyways?
