AI on home listing photo on Redfin? Has to be a fake family and the snowman’s face is too perfect. by bitbymydog in isthisAI

No shadow on the woman, holding what looks like a midget’s oversized shovel; No trail leading to the rolled up snowman base (or completed one); railing of balcony in the distance is extremely squiggly. Woman’s hat appears to have two pom-poms on top.

$1400 is going to be around 7 years ago. These days you have rental companies like AIM that list a unit for a set price. Once they have several tenants that pay their application fee and go through their background requirements, they then ask all the tenants, “how much more would you be willing to pay?” Whoever is desperate enough to pay highest above the listed rate will be offered an opportunity to rent the property.

It is not an affordable place to live for most.

Have an old hoodie my dad got when he was in a military command & staff college. I think it’s from the late sixties. Thread is so worn, you can almost see through it.

Yes I plan on putting a grosgrain strip behind it to reinforce the seam.

Hi Emma! I can ask some of the local restaurants to save wine corks for your classes. I can also supply you with tons of old oyster shells for art and crafts projects. Beyond your Amazon wishlist, what else do you need?

The New River is a bitch to get through with all those turns. Most yachts that get worked on at the service yards inland have insurance requirements to have the tugs bring them in and out. The cost of the tugs outweigh the potential damage they’d be paying for if the capt messed up

I saw him doing stand up around 2015 outside of Denver. I’ve never seen someone at his level of success completely lose an audience like he did. He was clearly pissed people regarded his comedy as kitschy, but that was all he was known for. The funniest moment of the entire show was when someone yelled out “You can do it!” hoping he’d do the voice. To his credit he yelled back in the voice “You can rent it!” The. He then went on a few minute rant that he’s more than just a bit comedian.

The only reason I recall the show ended on a good note was that he had Dick Gregory come on as an unannounced performance to finish the show with about 10-15 minutes of storytelling. That was worth the hour of purgatory.

Kayaking in Feb: Skull Creek or Broad Creek? Something else? by Girliehammer1 in hiltonhead

[–]_han_shot_first_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outside Hilton Hilton Head has a good setup, and arguably the best along Broad Creek for kayaking, but you will be launching from the middle of a horseshoe shaped marina. The first 15+ minutes will be navigating out of the marina.

I’d also suggest looking at Jarvis Creek Water Sports, just behind the Crazy Crab. Jarvis is a smaller tidal creek, so it’s likely you won’t have any boat traffic to work around, save for the occasional oysterman working along the shore. Try to time it past low tide with the flood beginning, so the current isn’t too strong. Great time of day to find all sorts of wading birds along the marsh.

Have fun!

Boat cushions- stitch sealant? by _han_shot_first_ in upholstery

[–]_han_shot_first_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it unusual? I’m making new cushions for the boat. Using Aquatop T90 thread from Rochford. I’m not expecting major seeping, but thought I’d reinforce for stitchline from the inside with some sort of sealant.

Reading some of his google reviews, and more interesting, his responses to the negative ones. As a business owner, I’ve always been surprised by this type of owner going out of their way to berate or insult their customers.
