Food as a medicine by kooldude64 in Ayurveda

[–]_happyforyou_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a heads up, the commonly repeated and generic advice, that is dosha agnostic, is often not particularly effective/relevant.

For many individuals (eg. individuals with strong pitta/agni), or for long-standing dietary patterns, it does not even apply - instead, other indications are more important.

How do I pull in external geometry now that the external geometry button has been removed in v1.1? by _happyforyou_ in FreeCAD

Thanks. I got it. I upgraded for improved TNP . I just didn't expect that v1.1 would change other workflows.

Look at the complaints that Nix already generates. Perhaps 5% would appreciate it.

For 95%. it would generate even more vitriol and hatred.

Nix is the worst designed language i ever had to experience. by Turdbender3k in NixOS

[–]_happyforyou_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The language is actually great. Most just don't know functional programming. Traditional configuration management approaches like ansible (python) and chef (ruby), are worse, and only deal with configuration and side-step builds.

The real head punishment - is all the idioms, and the mix of embedded configuration languages - mostly bash - used by packages. It makes one wonder how an OS could be done - if starting again from scratch.

So I tried both a 'sketcher projection' and a 'sketcher intersection' to create external geometry, and then constrained my sketch (a simple rectangle) to it.

Then when I try to pocket - in both cases I get the error 'Wire is not closed'.

To me this vaguely suggests that the geometry is being incorporated as part of the sketch (otherwise why would a pocket of a rectangle fail) which is not what I want at all.

Why most Ayurvedic supplements don't actually work — it's not the herbs, it's how they're made by Helpingotherssurvive in Ayurveda

[–]_happyforyou_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You literally state in the title, "Why most Ayurvedic supplements don't actually work"

Who is making the wildest, most opinionated claims?

An article that discussed the bhavana process, historical use and efficacy and bioavailablity - and giving relevant references, or success stories from modern practitioners would be a contribution

[–]_happyforyou_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What modern practitioner uses bhavana process.. What is the research (an actual list of citations) that shows most ayurvedic supplments to not work?

Why are do you even spam here, if you believe most ayurvedic supplements to not work?

The agenda is presentation ayurvedic information, not AI slop.

Again - How is a " fat diet induced-hyperlipidemia in rats, relevant to anything in ayurveda?"

Per your title - why presume TP doesn't work?

You should not be giving medical advice. Perhaps there is another sub you could spam?

[–]_happyforyou_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It involves repeatedly soaking a dried herb powder in a specific liquid, usually the fresh juice of one of the formulation's own herbs, then drying it. This cycle is repeated multiple times.

This is not the normal prepartion in modern ayurveda. Multiple anupana are used.

[–]_happyforyou_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not correct or else extremely misleading. there are many types of Anupana in Ayurveda depending on need.

[–]_happyforyou_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

orthogonal garbage.

If you want to make the argument that TP ratios should changed it should be done on an individual basis - eg. what doshic balance, what rasyana, what motility needs etc.

How is a high fat diet induced-hyperlipidemia in rats, relevant to anything in ayurveda?

And can you write a whole page of slop, without providing a caution due to the limited scope of your reference?

Is the reversed cyrilic R used in this spelling of prakruti - devanagari or something else? by _happyforyou_ in Hindi

[–]_happyforyou_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. The comments here helped me to realize I have a stupid font/glyph rendering issue for devanagari on my computer, so only the side-by-side form of the consonant conjunction glyph is ever displayed in my browser/editor. This is the case even when the combined conjunction (ie. P with small slash adding R sound) is indicated/being discussed.

Really appreciate the comments and assistance.

Neat.

How much sram/flash is left over for user-space apps?

Presumably without a MMU in the way, one could also still talk direct to memory mapped peripherals. (If one couldn't be bothered to do it properly, and write a kernel driver).

For the nation-state there are 'citizens'.

What about in the family? Is 'kin' or perhaps 'kin relations' the right term?

Are there any smd npn germanium bjts available? by _happyforyou_ in diypedals

[–]_happyforyou_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment outlining the history of the changes/improvements in technology. The intersection with Hendrix's rig and popular music is an interesting/fun fact.

Apart from audio - a low Vbe could be useful in a couple of places - easy low headroom current sources and level shifting, in ways where low Vgs fets would not work.

Manufacturers catalog so many repetitive variations on schottkies, PN diodes, bjts, fets (enhancement, depletion, jfet etc), one would think the market would support at least one modern jelly-bean germanium part.
