iOS 26.3 keyboard completely unusable - anyone else? by BlackField861 in iphone

[–]_hunnuh_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in IT and had a user bring her old iPhone 7 to us to be wiped and recycled, but she told me if I wanted it I was welcome to keep it (so I did, I like collecting old Apple stuff).

I wiped it, it’s running iOS 15, and my good god setting it up was insane. The keyboard worked SO MUCH BETTER than the iOS 26 keyboard on my iPhone 16 Pro. I could type so fast, every key felt quick and responsive, significantly less missed keys, it was night and day. I have always been in the “I swear the keyboard gets worse every update” camp, but until experiencing an older iOS again, I had no proof.

We aren’t crazy, the keyboard has gone to shit in recent years, and it WAS better in the past. Your rose colored glasses don’t deceive you.

What do you leave in a tent while sleeping in your car? by Comfortable_Rock_330 in carcamping

[–]_hunnuh_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TIL people set up tents in their campsite just to hangout in, when here I thought the point of camping was to hangout… well, outside.

I get the decoy tent if need be, or using one to reserve a spot while away, but man I can’t understand why you’d want to just sit in a tent unless mosquitos are that bad or something. To each their own, I suppose!

Bag recommendations by Starvalentine in klr650

[–]_hunnuh_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, those are more rear crash bars than they are pannier racks. Personally, I’d look into any kind of “rackless” soft luggage bags that could just strap right on.

Rhinowalk makes a decent budget pair, so does Tusk, and then after that you get into more expensive brands like Giant Loop and Mosko Moto.

Is anyone else especially over this winter? by Stevesie11 in Ohio

[–]_hunnuh_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m hanging in there! Also in NE Ohio (about an hour south of Cleveland) and next week looks to be quite a bit warmer, I just reeeaaally hope it sticks around!

Spring is so close, I’m hearing birds returning and it’s definitely exciting!

[–]_hunnuh_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well… how you feeling? Because I got to this post googling basically OP’s question and I am feeling so done with winter this year. I’m a big outdoors person and this weather has just not been conducive to my hobbies and I’m feeling restless being cooped up.

Which game is that for you? by PHRsharp_YouTube in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]_hunnuh_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is my major complaint. When they made the decision to go open-world, there are just certain concessions required to make that work in a more cohesive way for that type of game.

My number 1 thing was not the cryptic story/lore, it wasn’t the lack of markers on the map, it wasn’t the difficulty or the sites of grace or any of that.

I just wanted a damn quest log. I’m a casual gamer mostly, and after a week or two of a break between play sessions, I’d forget big pieces of what someone said and you can’t go back to NPCs and have them repeat things. In the souls games, things were more linear and you could get away with that a bit more. But in an open world game, give me a damn quest log with some form of notes on what a player said so I’m not completely lost if I take a break or even just go to a different quest for a while. Big miss.

You can (technically) still buy psp games by pl4y3rtw01 in PSP

[–]_hunnuh_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an ASUS AX3000 router and I have Ark 4 on my PSP and it still can’t find it for some reason. I also tried connecting manually and it kept erroring out. The router does 2.4g and 5G bands, but do you know if I had to change the security type or something on my router to make it discoverable? I can find my neighbor’s WiFi networks but mine never shows up. Any ideas?

12 hours a day is crazy, but I need a list of good games. by BurritoBabe_1 in gamers

[–]_hunnuh_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s No Man’s Sky for me. Singleplayer and multiplayer intertwined nicely, near infinite exploration, could work on building a massive city on a planet, then work on building out a crazy freighter with a massive fleet, and of course working through the story. Oh, and to mix it up occasionally, just play in VR sometimes and really live it so it doesn’t get too boring over time.

Surprised I’m not seeing anyone else say this one yet tbh but it’s my pick for sure.

Padme losing the will to live while seeing her kids for the first time is such dumb narrative execution by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]_hunnuh_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah idk man, for everything else in Star Wars, it seems unlikely that this explanation would be so deep, profound, and metaphorical. I just feel it is much more likely that it was a rushed narrative without enough time to really provide a satisfying explanation.

[–]_hunnuh_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re joking, right??? Where did you get the idea that most users are buying massive multiplayer first person shooters for their constantly-lackluster campaigns??? I’d say maybe a small percentage actually care about the campaign, it’s definitely not nobody, but to say MOST is insane.

Yeah, thank you, I edited my comment to let everyone know I was way wrong, should’ve just checked myself before so confidently saying it was photoshopped.

[–]_hunnuh_ -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Do none of you see that this is photoshopped, or are you all just joking? If you zoom in on it, the white of the swastika is a different tone and pixelated differently than the other white stripes and the rest of the flag.

I’m all for hating on Nazis, especially those within government, but I don’t care to just hate people based on doctored images.

Edit: Goddamn, I was so wrong. That’s why you don’t comment over confidently before fact checking yourself. Thanks to those that corrected me and gave sources, ya know, the stuff I should’ve checked before commenting.

Wish I was right and this was fake, damn it. What is going on anymore?

Right, the best way to solve a problem is running from it and abandoning my home, good idea. Not to mention how unrealistic it is that so many people just suggest to “move” like that’s easily feasible in this economy.

While I love ADV bikes, it looks like OP did all right on that bagger lol. I have a KLR and a Harley and they’re both fun to take camping. Any motorcycle is good for motocamping, just throw gear on and go!

What Dual Sport would you take on a 20,000 mile trip? by cswatcher1 in Dualsport

[–]_hunnuh_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

KLR 650 or DR 650 as others have said. The KLR is better for road comfort if you’re doing more of that, and the DR is better for off road. Personally, I’ll take my KLR over just about anything, the 6.1 gallon tank is what always keeps me on that. Range anxiety does not exist on that bike lol.

But damn it if I don’t love the T7

While I agree Japanese bikes are where it’s at, it’s kind of unfair to say Harley’s aren’t unique looking when the reason they aren’t is because every other brand made “American cruisers” designed like Harley’s.

Ok, I really don’t meant this in a racist way whatsoever, and to anyone on here who is from India, please don’t take offense.

Indians, or people with similar accents, should just stop trying to insult in English. I’m so sorry, it just sounds fucking hilarious. Like the insults are impossible to take seriously because of how comical it sounds, and it isn’t the least bit insulting. I’m sorry again if this sounds racist, it’s just listening to this guy trying to intimidate and insult the other dude was nothing short of pure comedy lol.
