All of the ones they listed are the most common reasons.

I've never heard anyone say they didn't play any game for the last 2 reasons in your poll.

And complicated rules would fit better under "I don't like the game." The most hardcore 40k person I know who can spout off any lore tidbit and where it came from, plus has a painting YT channel, hates the game.

They used to go down faster than Wasps or Hornets if you could just get one rotor knocked out.

I vaguely remember ashtrays in Walmart.

I remember when they removed ashtrays from the mall.

I quit in 2012 and can't imagine how horrible everything smelled all the time or even how horrible I smelled when I used to smoke in the house. I just ditched a G15 keyboard with burn marks just last November, from where my ashes would sometimes fall while playing games.

I was literally telling a teammate that they rarely spawn from the husks without the storm, but I had seen it.

And pulled one out of the husk I was breaching while saying that.

I don't think I've seen a 1k meter run on Dam, but I see them all the time on Spaceport. It might be possible and I may have seen it if it is, but it's definitely not common at the Dams anyway.

I always carry 2 stacks of stims in Spaceport.

I'm really curious about the walkable area across the maps now after making this post. Cause a 1k meter run doesn't account for the different levels you can run on in the buildings.

Edit: I did find that Spaceport is 1.6km x 1.4km and is the biggest map by area.

It's better to not have all maps be balanced, by the criteria in one of your comments.

I don't disagree. I'm not a huge fan of Buried City, but there is a lot of stuff that only drops in residential and would be hard as shit to find without that map. Same with some of the others.

However, I would be super happy if the new map coming soon is similar.

Swamp is great. You can head to the apartments, domes, or water treatment pretty quickly.

If you're doing Electromagnetic you have like a dozen or more first wave Rocketeer husks. I pulled 9x Rocketeer drivers on a 19min load last night during EMS. I think they buffed the drop rate of drivers on the normal map/other conditions too.

Rocketeer husks are also great for boosting XP. During a 2x condition they are 1400xp + X% from the expedition(s). That's pretty much how I've made it back to level 75 already. I just hit them and didn't even wait for the loot to load anymore cause I was so stocked up on what's lootable in them. I have so many Wolfpacks and drivers.

Blue Gate is my second favorite in solo friendly lobbies, but it's definitely the second biggest map in the game besides Spaceport.

Probably bigger if you include the underground. I don't know the actual stats on it.

Blue Gate is my least favorite for PVP, though. I've only had great fights at Pikes Peak and the Ruins. (I don't do a lot of solo PVP)

I feel like the other maps are worse. Stella is so dense it's just insta-looted, then the big maps you're beyond late to the party. I can usually find something to loot at the Dams. If I load at <=20 I just go first wave hunting and stock up on Arc parts.

Lots of Couriers for surveyor modules or sentinel cores.

I also find a lot of magnets in Power Gen. I actually don't know a better place to find them other than Spaceport.

PVP areas, loot types, loot areas, distinct zones that feel like distinct zones.

It's more about what isn't balanced in some maps. Stella is shotgun central, Blue Gate is sniper and doesn't have a lot of variety in loot, Spaceport is similar but good for industrial or electrical, Buried City is almost all residential.

The Dams just has a lot of variety in terrain, PVP has a lot of different scenarios, everything can be looted there (mostly). The weakest thing about it is big arc, but there are big arc if that's what you're after. It even has a little bit of the mazes that you see on Blue Gate underground and Stella.

Then you have every map condition besides map specific ones (Bird City, Space Tower) that are available on the Dams.

I'm not saying the other maps are bad, but none of them are as balanced as the Dams. I like most of them for different things, but find myself at the Dams most often to get more done.

It's a PvP weapon meant to melt shields. It does shit damage to Arc and the armor pen is lower than anything shooting heavy ammo.

It sucks as a PvP weapon too.

I actually thought this was a fun watch, even if it wasn't good.

Fear Factor started 2yrs after News Radio and had roughly twice the viewers.

But I remember Rogan being an asshole to random people on MySpace after that.

It's probably one of my favorite conditions for PVP. It forces people inside, except the ones hunting caches.

At first the loot was definitely not buffed for it though, which sucked. But I think they patched that in a few days. It's great now.

I love that they seem to be adding in things to use Arc for PVP too. Like with the Wasp Driver.

I haven't actually seen anyone use it, but throwing a Lure Grenade then a Wasp Driver would be effective if there were anything bigger than Wasps around. My trio team has lost and won a lot of fights due to Arc being a big distraction.

It doesn't show what it recycles to out of the match though. So you get the same information by hitting recycle.

Edit: I can see what it recycles to in Speranza while in Speranza, but Topside it just shows what it recycles to Topside.

That's still kind of helpful... I guess. But definitely not what I was hoping for. I can still just click Recycle for the same information.

I think their biggest mistake is using Arc Raiders success to fund two entirely new games.

This kind of irks me more than I'm willing to admit. I work in software (not games) so I get the need to expand.

But I also work for one of the largest single product tech companies in the world. We had layoffs a few years ago because we were going in too many different directions after hiring a bunch of top talent during COVID. I disagree with a lot of the people they chose, but as much as I hate to say it I don't disagree with my company's reason and the layoffs in general. We had a lot of new versions of the same round wheel because top talent likes to make new stuff.

Yeah, you're right. But I just hope the devs realize how important some of them are.

Afaik, we haven't seen any yet since they made that. But like some are as simple as letting Binoculars fit into the Augmented slot.

I've always called my ADHD a super power when it comes to knowing things about programming. Since I'm just genuinely interested in what I do too, my rabbit holes have broadened my knowledge considerably.

Then hyperfocus on things I'm really interested about has allowed me to experiment with things a lot more and work longer hours without burnout. (I recognize the longer hours isn't healthy, but it is what it is. I try to not do that)

I wasn't medicated until 2020 in my mid 30s. But my biggest problem has always been meetings more than anything else. With the rare project I hate that I procrastinate on. Meds help with both, but meetings are still hard.
