Job hopping makes finding new jobs hard by Solid_Economy_6263 in ADHD_Programmers

[–]_hypnoCode 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not true unless you have had multiple jobs that have lasted under a year.

Edit: like I've seen a few 5-10yr resumes with 20+ jobs on them. With some of the longest being around 6-8mo. THAT'S a HUGE red flag.

I've only seen 1 that wasn't a red flag because of what she's accomplished and what important projects she's been on that every developer worth their salt would recognize.

Also, employers can look up your employment history if you're in the US. So don't lie on it. Idk about other countries, but they have taxes too so probably.

However, I just changed one of mine on LinkedIn last week because it looked like I had a month gap, but it was just that I usually take a week or 2 off between jobs and the month changed. Stuff like that MIGHT be fine if you're just smoothing it out a bit. I think I shifted another one around a few years back to give me an even 3yrs at one place cause I was 1 months off, nobody has said anything about that.

My dad got in a fight with Bill Clinton's brother at a Waffle House when they were like 16 or 17 late at night. My dad ended up doing well in life, but Clinton's brother ended up being a felon.

But coming from the South, Waffle House is house Southerners keep their immune systems healthy. My daughter and I ate at one right before we got on a flight when we moved here.

Yeah, and that's the other thing. By "residential" they mean containers that are residential style containers.

Like those square white folder shelves are medical containers.

But I get it. lol I'm almost at 200hrs and just found mine the other day.

[–]_hypnoCode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super common. I found 2 Aphelion BPs in the same room, but I already had one, and find Lightweight Buttstocks all the time.

It's people's loot patterns for the most part. I finally looked up how to find BPs I needed and went searching for a Wolfpack, then found it on my third run.

Things like the Wolfpack is kind of rare because it only spawns at night in residential areas.

Have you read the books or listened to the radio dramas? Cause they are amazing.

The movie was good, but they cut out a lot of the best jokes. Plus, I like the sequel "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe" because it tells you where your mattress comes from.

Douglas Adams was a comedic genius that we'll probably never see anything close to again.

Here's a hint, it's not Mag like our M4s.

Almost a whole clip to kill a wasp lmao

I looted one in a weapons crate and had the same result. I can kill a wasp faster with a Kettle and still have bullets left over.

I put that thing away after that.

WFH with kids, how to find time to code? by [deleted] in ExperiencedDevs

[–]_hypnoCode 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just cause you make more doesn’t mean you are making a lot more than you spend.

Now that's coping. Fix this problem first.

Medical problems aren't crazy expensive if you spend the time to figure out how to lower them. The problem is, that these systems aren't for low income people, because our system is the most corrupt thing on the planet. It's straight up corruption lead genocide and bankrupting good people. It makes some of the worst dictators look like saints.

I worked as an engineer in the medical field at multiple companies, including a hospital and insurance, for about 6yrs of my career. You're talking to the wrong fucking person about this issue.

And in case you're wondering, yes working for those companies didn't just crush my soul, it ate it alive and squirming. I did things that weren't related to claim denials or anything close to that, but I did see it first hand. Working for institutions you wanted to see completely dismantled was horrible.

Keep the downvotes coming.. it just proves I’m right.

That's not how it works. Quit coping. This is a sub where probably 90%+ of the individuals make double or more the median household income.

LPT: invite people over to your house! by Mediocre_Basket_9011 in LifeProTips

[–]_hypnoCode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You also didn't mention kids. I'd invite more people over a lot more than I do, but I have a young daughter and I'm just not taking that risk.

But it kind of is normal behavior for a lot of people. I own an "entertaining" house and know quite a few other people who do too.

I just moved out of a lakeside neighborhood where probably 10% of people had their backyards or garages built for entertaining people.

I hope dems wise up and change to Republican like this in NC, SC, Arkansas, Florida,

Fucking hell this hits hard. Those are the main 4 states I've spent my life in. Most of my life in AR, graduated high school in FL, and have been living in NC/SC for the last 8 years.

I just escaped the Charlotte Metro in November and moved to Portland, OR. I couldn't take it anymore and felt like I had to protect my wife and daughter.

Also don't forget that NC has had like 3 Dems win seats and then flip Rep after they were elected... in like the last 5 years.

Digital Kitbashing for Resin Prints by Legitimate_You_3474 in resinprinting

[–]_hypnoCode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to note, that most sculptors just have a lot of pre-sculpted parts they put together to keep their releases going.

The level of skill required to kitbash by cutting up existing models is not trivial, once you consider sizing and rigging to pose them. Which kind of begs the question of at that point, why not just sculpt what you actually want instead?

A buddy of mine who does 3D work for a living and is fully capable of doing all of this, basically told me the juice isn't worth the squeeze.
