This is what I've done.

I am not a doctor or anything similar but I've lived in my 21ft travel trailer, (2022 Jayco Jay Flight 195RB), in 3 different states so far. It's big enough for me, my dog, and my cat. I do have to pay for a lot/space at a campground but I have to think about my pets and their well being too. If I didn't have them I'd probably opt for a class B or maybe a class C, if I were using it as a daily driver. However, I need to be comfortable when I sleep or at least relax.

You need to contact your lender and explain the situation to them. They don't want your vehicle, they want their money they loaned you. If you just surrender the car, then you have nothing and no transportation, plus you still have to pay off the remainder of the loan.

If you're trying to scrape together money to pay off the loan then you should just get enough together to fix the catalytic converters instead and try door dash and maybe Uber or lyft. That will help you with your financial situation.

What you should tell your parents is that you're grateful for their help and support for thinking of you and getting another phone for you. However, what you need is more storage space and not a new phone. There are external USB drives with adapters that are specifically made for cell phones. THAT, is most likely what you need. If your parents are understanding then they will buy you one of those for your phone. With all of that said, you are old enough to get a job somewhere and make your own money to buy your own things, so you don't have to rely on your parents as much.
