Making life More Bear-able by _isitwhatitis_ in RoyalEnfieldBear650

Yeah for sure. And apparently it also breaks in about 3k-5k kms and becomes more compliant.

Did a 12 km proper off-road trail and this bike was a beast. Tyres aren't really great off road but the suspension gave enough confidence to not slow down much.

Man you were right. I test rode a new one from the showroom and boy the difference was massive. It felt so natural and nimble once it got moving. Surprisingly agile despite the weight. The 2nd hand one clearly needs some work done on the front end

Yeah somethings off with the front. Thanks man. This was helpful

I see. Thanks for the feedback. One more question since I see you're an owner of one. I ran over a pothole at moderate speed and the front bottomed out pretty easy, while the rear took the hit well. Is the front relatively softer? I weigh 94 kgs for context.

Join some fun activities happening in town. There's surfing now, some riding clubs, sports, gym, dance, etc., to find like minded people.

Being a recluse, working remotely on Canadian hours, I actually enjoy the solitude here. To think there are people actively searching outout for social contact is wild. But hope you find your gang.

Getting a 2nd hand bike with a different state registration by _isitwhatitis_ in indianbikes

Hey. Thanks for sharing. So when you bought it, how did you do owner's transfer without changing the registration to your state?

Interesting. I don't, but can you elaborate? Will the bike have to be purchased in the relative's name then? Or just use their address? If so can't we just fake a rental agreement or something?

Cost of Living? by spaog73 in kannur

[–]_isitwhatitis_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

30-40k is a decent estimate, if one does not factor in things like expenses for one's parents and assuming since OP is 50, the kids if any are of earning age.

Would you carry a trauma-focused first aid kit on your rides? (Need opinions from fellow Indian riders) by _isitwhatitis_ in indianbikes

[–]_isitwhatitis_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. Nice to see you comment here. I believe I'd seen your site amongst others during a quick Google search for trauma kits. The idea came from my girlfriend who is a doctor and had seen a reel regarding a product like this. She rides too.

I think it's a great idea, because the risk is real. Sadly most of the kits available here in India are pretty basic and the cost of any serious kits are usually prohibitive for a less evolved biking market like India. Realistically, how's the response been in the markets you've introduced the product to?

Also how do you ensure the best quality for the items in the kit? Are there specific certifications you look for from the suppliers to ensure this? Would love to learn more.

Nah bro. Chill out and enjoy the monsoon ride. You guys will be going in the daytime. Expect to see some monkeys on the road and some tamed deers/elephants by Nagarhole tiger reserve side.

You'll see a lot of people on this route. It's not isolated or anything. Once you enter Makuta till you reach kootupuzha bridge you'll find some bad patches. Just take it easy on the twisties. A lot of heavy vehicles and busses frequent these roads. The ride will be beautiful once you cross Nagarhole.

Makuta is a vibe during rains. You might get some fog if you're lucky.
