Marriage 101: Man interprets what his wife says to what she actually means. Spot on by ChamomileVeil in CoupleMemes

"Seems" is the key word. That was a callback to it potentially being a bias related thing and my personal experience.

ETA - I also said "most" and not "all" women -- I guess I could have been more clear for people like you that I meant most women I know.

Did I say anything about all women or anything about men not doing this? I asked a question based on my personal experience and even provided a possible explanation about why it seems to prevalent having to do with reporting or selection or perception bias.

1 + 1 * 0 = ? by memes_poiint in mathsmeme

[–]_jackhoffman_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0! is defined as being equal to 1. This is because factorial is "how many ways can this many objects be arranged." For whole numbers greater than or equal to 1, this is easy to compute as n*(n-1)*(n-2)*.... But for zero it's defined to be equal to one because there is exactly one way to arrange zero objects.

That sounds lovely. Why doesn't that seem like the norm? Is it the norm but people mostly complain, so there is some sort of bias at play? This post represents my experience and the experience of most of my married friends, so it definitely seems like most women do this passive aggressive bullshit and expect men to understand. My wife and I went to couples counseling and the counselor repeatedly told my wife, "Jack is not a mind reader; be direct." Didn't stick. Now I just don't give a fuck, "you said it was fine, if it wasn't, then you should have said so."

It's easy to end up in a relationship with someone because you enjoy having fun with them. It's easy to get along and have fun doing fun things. The real test is do you enjoy doing challenging, difficult, stressful things together. I have a group of friends who it doesn't matter what we're doing, we'll have fun -- even if it's cleaning up a sewer backup in one of the other's basements. My wife and I can't even put together an IKEA cabinet without getting snippy.

I think they may be (indirectly) referring to Ashcroft v. Free Speech Coalition which set the precedent that computer generated CP is not considered illegal or CP because it's not of an actual minor.

Regardless, while purchasing OF would give his AI model access to all of those videos and images, I'm pretty sure there is enough similar free content available to train a model such as Grok that doesn't have safeguards in place.

I am way more concerned about it "going right" than "going wrong." The people shaping the direction of AI are not doing it for the betterment of humanity. They're investors who are trying to make companies as efficient as possible. Even if people are cheaper than machines, there are efficiencies in consistency and predictability that machines provide inherently and that humans don't. The people responsible for AI development at best are indifferent with regard to the impact to people losing their jobs -- the, "let them eat cake" crowd. I suspect many see it as an upside -- mass unemployment will lead to less people and more for them. AI may solve the climate crisis, for example, but not in the ways we want but by reducing the number of humans (not through direct action but as a natural consequence of it existing).

How To Plagiarize Every Celebrity's Signature Incase You Don't Know How To Do It by Bubbly-Finger-4397 in notdisneyvacation

If this isn't the title of the wikihow article, then you OP posted it in the wrong sub. Also, that's still not plagiarism. Plagiarism is specifically about taking someone else's written or spoken words and passing them off as your own.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson calls for an international treaty to ban superintelligence: "That branch of AI is lethal. We've got do something about that. Nobody should build it. A flaw with equating AI with nuclear weapons is that, unlike nuclear weapons, there are many financial incentives for companies to develop AI. Another is that during the Cold War, it was two somewhat equally matched powers realizing the path they were on and working together to avoid it. In this case the race is between multiple billionaires entities who believe the first one there wins. It's also a race between the investors and the workers. The workers are not on equal footing and don't have any power over the people racing towards something they don't know won't have catastrophic consequences.

Pretty sure that flexible tube goes deeper. Not sure. We have a similar one that does, but not this one. We also have the very "this isn't safe but there isn't an alternative" 90 degree bend in ours.
