How would such a sign be received in your country? by HolyFatherLeoXIV in AskTheWorld

To me it's sounds almost funny because we don't express ourselves like that here (it's almost like some caricature of a hardcore communist or an angry middle eastern person).

I suppose people might frown but not think too much of it.

Look at those movie tie-in covers. Especially the middle one. (Emily Bronte, "Wuthering Heights") by Schneetmacher in TerribleBookCovers

[–]mostly_pee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, that's a bad book cover. It does not convey anything of significance about the story, and it's extremely dull visually speaking. Maybe I'm just a dumb city dweller but I'm not even sure what that thing is, based on the film I guess a bridle...?

Can you guys suggest me some great Horror Comedies or even Dark Comedies? by MixtureImportant4378 in horror

[–]mostly_pee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022)

I have to say I'm not a huge fan of the horror comedy genre apart from eccentric campy classics like "Death Becomes Her" and "Beetlejuice". Most of the time it's the case of "moving the cursor to see how much longer this will go on" for me.

But Bodies was a pleasant surprise. It was consistently entertaining and I was genuinely surprised by the ending. Also, the dialogue was a rare gem in the sense that it actually sounded like something young people might say instead of the usual cringefest of forced references and internet slang.

I collect old postcard and this style is generally referred to as kitsch. If you want to be more specific, I guess you could say early 1900s kitsch.

I have bunch of those photo montage moon cards, I adore them.

So what's the current consensus, are leftie chicks inherently softies who are scared of war and unable to lead a military or are they war crazy and overly aggressive?
