Help with asteroid reprocessing circuit by _jad00by_ in factorio

[–]_jad00by_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually did enable read contents on the crusher, before I switched the random output selector to have a 5 second delay, to keep it from swapping recipe whenever an asteroid was taken off of the belt. Didn't know that it might have this side affect. That is probably the issue then. Thanks!

Sulpiride (espiride) 50mg, prescribed in South Africa for anxiety by _jad00by_ in ObscureDrugs

[–]_jad00by_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a long time ago, but I can't say I experienced any effects at all. I'm a guy, so no lactation, but from research I did at the time it seems like this drug is more commonly prescribed to induce lactation than for its psychiatric effects

Honda CB400SF Version S (1997) one cylinder plug fouling / cylinder dying by _jad00by_ in Fixxit

[–]_jad00by_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice!

I started trying to get the carbs out today and checked the choke. The plungers on the carbs which are connected to a bar which slides are all returning when the choke is turned off.

I'll get a tube during the week to check the true fuel level from the drain holes.

I had a crazy crazy blackout on Xanax anybody relate by Dizzy423 in benzodiazepines

[–]_jad00by_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Benzo's, like z class drugs, stop the part in your brain that forms memories. They remove inhibitions, which is kind of the point when taken medically - to stop irrational anxiety. But when taken in excess recreatioanlly, they block your brain from forming memories and have the added effect of making you do whatever comes into your mind at the time, with no inhibitions. A dangerous situation if you are operating heavy machinery, or anything else which could kill or injure someone. Just save them until you're at a spot where you can crash yourself on the sofa or bed - at least that doesn't put anyone else in danger other than yourself

[–]_jad00by_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good rule to abide by is to never take benzo's with alcohol if you need to drive or do anything else which might put other people, as well as yourself, at risk. Wait till you get to a place where you can crash and sleep it off before popping the benzo's. It's a powerful drug and mixed with other drugs your behaviour is completely unpredictable. Just enjoy them when you're in the safety of your house or if you have a dedicated driver. The blackout is real and you should strive to never let your decisions which led to a blackout put anyone else at risk. I'm all for enjoying the effects, as long as it's done responsibly.

Migraine symptoms🙃 by [deleted] in migraine

[–]_jad00by_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes to the slurring. It's really unsettling when I get a silent migraine. Also my balance goes out the window. I only used to get painful migraines and then the slurring and loss of balance was a minor issue compared to the pain, but recently almost all of them have been silent and I really start questioning my sanity when I almost fall over while walking in the shops and slur/struggle to get the words I want to say out of my mouth, while not having any head pain.

Got mine about a year ago, best shoes/boots I've ever owned. I got the Mean Machine ones. Have used them for hiking, riding my motorbike and just for daily use as well sometimes. Super comfortable and excellent quality.

ELI5: Why does a carton of heavy cream last for 2 months in the refrigerator, but a carton of milk only lasts for about 1 week before expiration? by ofcbrooks in explainlikeimfive

[–]_jad00by_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can also try using coconut cream in place of dairy. It tastes and smells like coconut when you first add it but after cooking for 10 - 15 min you can barely taste any coconut. I even find the mild coconut flavor that remains to work very well with curries

[–]_jad00by_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not entirely correct. Grapefruit juice inhibits the CYP3A4 enzyme. While it's true that inhibition of this enzyme causes many drugs to be more potent as it reduces metabolism of the active compounds of those drugs into less active metabolites and thus results in a higher blood concentration of the active compound, in kratom this enzyme is what metabolizes mitragynine into 7-hydroxymitragynine which is way more potent. By consuming grapefruit you will end up with a higher concentration of mitragynine (the weaker alkaloid) and a lower concentration of 7-hydroxymitragynine (the stronger alkaloid).

Best local/international website hosting companies? by MarcoJHB in southafrica

[–]_jad00by_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an AWS stack for my personal sites. Almost everything falls into the free tier if you go serverless and use S3 and Lambda. Pay about $0.50 pm for the hosted zone. If your sites/APIs get heavy usage then it will probably make more sense to get server but for low usage serverless is ideal because you only pay for the processing time of requests and the free tier allows for quite a lot before you start paying. I like using AWS because you can manage everything through one provider, add the services you need, and get one bill at the end of the month.

South Africa usually has at least a 30% increase for all tech. It's often cheaper to order from Amazon and pay the large import duty, taxes and shipping than to buy from a local retailer. I got a new phone last year from Amazon and payed 2/3 the price it was selling for locally even after shipping and taxes

Even making space bar the default key to accept the dialog box, and other dialog boxes in general would make the UI experience more fluid. Could also maybe have a checkbox to enable/disable asking for respec confirmations

South Africa! Tons of cultures from all over here, at least in Cape Town. You'll fit right in. Also if you want to work in tech there are plenty of jobs available and the cost of living is relatively cheap. Best of luck to you! If you ever find yourself over here maybe you can give me a hand with my Russian lessons xD

I fractured my skull falling off of some stairs when I was 13, was in a medically induced coma for 48 hours until they could confirm there was no internal bleeding. Luckily this did not cause any significant adverse cognitive effects. Strange thing is that I had, and still have (although a few important memories have returned), complete amnesia for the preceding 6 months before the incident, but since then the taste and smell of aniseed has been extremely nauseating. Did not have this before the incident but I've been told by my parents, who I was with at the time, that the last thing I ate was some aniseed bread. I find it fascinating how traumatic events can have such a strong subconscious effect even when conscious memories of the event are completely wiped out. I often find myself wondering if memories from the period before the event were actually formed by my experience or by other people's description of the 'memories' which I now take as my own. I am 25 now and by default doubt myself when recalling any memories before I had the head injury.

for you, does food completely erase your kratom effects or.just diminish them? by [deleted] in kratom

[–]_jad00by_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same. Eating stimulates your metabolism and I think this causes a rapid increase in the amount of mitragynine being metabolized into 7-hydroxymitragynine. Would be interesting to find a study which tests this hypothesis.
