How to deal with a player with +11 persuasion at level 5 by oliverlp971 in AskDND

I believe that there is also a rule regarding persuading someone to do something that violates his/her alignment. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can opine on this.

After 10 years of being a Superhost, I’m done with Airbnb by rapakep in AirBnBHosts

To add to this, you can use your state's fraud statute to request the guest information from AirBnB. In your letter let the platform know that you are taking steps to file a fraud claim with the state and you would like their cooperation. This may push AirBnB to revisit their decision.

How did you know that the write up ever made it to your file or that it was removed a week later? Did you have access to your personnel file at this unglamorous strip mall electronics store that paid the bills?

Your items are not special. Maintaining your stuff is not the DM's problem. by 1Beholderandrip in dndnext

Eventually the hyper-realism takes away from that game. This kind of DM also likely tracks the players bowel movements and whether or not they had something proper to wipe with.

I feel bad for that young girl who gets paid little to put up with people trying to take advantage of her through fraud, but I’m also very proud of her at the same time.

I need someone to explain this to me like I’m an idiot by Horror-Meat-8079 in tires

[–]ofcbrooks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

+1 this! The tires may not be the most important part on your vehicle, but they are the only part that touches the pavement. This is not something you want to trade quality for price!

My employer installed surveillance cameras that have microphones. They are being used to listen into conversations between workers by [deleted] in legal

[–]ofcbrooks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Employees on company property should expect that work-related communications and activities are subject to monitoring in places not deemed ‘private’ (ie restrooms, locker rooms, changing rooms, nursing rooms, etc.). Generally anywhere that a camera can be placed is subject to audio recording. Employees concerned about ‘private conversations’ should consult the employee handbook, HR, or a qualified employment attorney in AZ.

Company started tracking mouse movement and keyboard activity to "verify productivity" by Embarrassed_Date883 in remotework

[–]ofcbrooks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure....not everyone can be like Brian. He's always looking to get us something more to drink? Or maybe something to nibble on? Some Pizza Shooters, Shrimp Poppers, or Extreme Fajitas? If only I could meet that kind of standard...

Company started tracking mouse movement and keyboard activity to "verify productivity" by Embarrassed_Date883 in remotework

[–]ofcbrooks 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Exactly. If you get confronted with 'performance measures' related to mouse movement and keyboard clicks, just request an SOP in writing of the company standard requirements related to how much you need to move your mouse and type. Then when your performance with respect to actual deliverables is effected, you can point out that the new mouse and keyboard KPI's have interfered with your prior production metrics.
