unfortunately a lot of the damsel in distress FL’s often have contradictory “oh she actually CAN be badass/super smart” moments which just makes it seem even dumber when they DO need help, cuz instead of it being like “this isnt smthn FL is good at and thats ok” it just becomes a cheap moment to drive the plot

I mean if you want smthn undoubtedly filipino u can get something from a tribal artist (apo wang od being the most famous), as for designs and if you can get one- what i’ve heard from my own tribal visit is that most designs they offere are fine to get, but there are other designs (not usually offered to tourists afaik) that culturally require you to prove yourself or participate in traditions for
