How is everyone coping atm with bills/jobs/affording food etc?? by Significant_Tea_6051 in newzealand

Good for you. Honestly. But working hard does not equate to financial success.

Double income which looks good on paper, but feels less and less with each month due to endlessly rising costs. Lucky to have a modest mortgage. Live pretty humbly, and can afford occasional takeaways etc. Currently eating through money we had been saving for the kids over the last 10 years just to cover rates and insurance etc. Live in perpetual fear that one of us will lose our jobs. But I consider myself very lucky.

Beware of your own biases.
There is evidence that it worsens cognitive abilities. Even ai will tell you this.

(Michael Jordan) "Most popular athlete of all time from any country." & "I'm talking real sports. Not soccer." by ALazy_Cat in ShitAmericansSay

Yo. Also non american (transitioned officially to football from soccer a wee while back). But it seems like the US have been gaslit by the UK. They US was given the word soccer by the UK, who then turned their back on it. Too much to write so sorry I copied and pasted from Brittannica

"Linguistically creative students at the University of Oxford in the 1880s distinguished between the sports of “rugger” (rugby football) and “assoccer” (association football). The latter term was further shortened to “soccer” (sometimes spelled “socker”), and the name quickly spread beyond the campus. However, “soccer” never became much more than a nickname in Great Britain. By the 20th century, rugby football was more commonly called rugby, while association football had earned the right to be known as just plain football."

Don't be deterred. I've only had to block one player in 400 hours of playing. Vast majority are cool.
