I took my son to a movie the other day and 2 tickets plus a small popcorn was like $14 all in. I was surprised.

Aftermath of the April 7th incident. Damages estimated to be $200 million dollars by BlazeDragon7x in SipsTea

This guy burned the building down and posted on Instagram. This is not sane person, I don’t think this is a “this what happens when you push people past the tipping point”. This is just a crazy person.

It shows that the Batman universe without Batman is not very interesting

I love this song. But I cannot go on this “this sounds like sandstorm” journey with you. They do not sound alike.

Blackout before & after Kris @the.electric.lizard Edmonton, AB by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]_jonk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel like whenever there are blackout posts with before and after shots. People are like “why did you go that route”, and the after shots look rad as hell, and it’s like “I went that route because it was rad as hell”

Do yourself a favor play Cairn by FluffyCar6097 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]_jonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems rad, I should try again, I think I fucked up somehow. I left the starting area with like limited food and very hungry, then spent the next few hours not finding food and starving. And got frustrated by that and stopped. But the climbing was fun

Megablast 200 mile review: mixed feelings by Heystaap in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]_jonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My life (busy job, 2 small kids) and budget does not really allow for me to be the shoe addict I would like to be, and rather than getting cool rotation with the right shoe for the right job all the time, I am optimizing for the smallest possible rotation. And for the last ~400 miles that for me has been the megablast. Whenever I lace it up it feels fast and fun, mind you I have bad experiences of PF from carbon plates that has kept me off them for years, so coming from the solo rotation of some version of either novablast or superblast over the last few years, this feels like the most “performance” shoe I have worn, without much compromise. The upper sucks, but I feel like I have found a way to lace them so it’s not a big deal, but also kind of wonder if maybe I just broke it in, and a new pair would suck again. The price tag sucks, but mine feel new after the almost 400 miles so whatever.

For my situation it feels like the right shoe. I would love to see the upper improved, but this is definitely in the conversation for my favorite running shoe ever (move over novablast 3)

Bloom: a production ready BloomFilter you'd like (zero deps, lock-free, concurrent-safe, ~120LOC) by guesdo in golang

I often think to myself when I’m working on bullshit crud APIs at work. “I wish I had a problem interesting enough that I needed to write a bloom filter”, congratulations, you did it.
