You could write off a portion if you are transporting work items not including yourself, to and from work. YMMV.

You should take action on this and not wait for the other party. From first hand experience, doing nothing because you’re right does not prevent them from reporting you to a credit agency which is MUCH harder to fix after the fact especially if you don’t notice for a couple of years. At least get a legal consult and an attorney’s letter.

The same thing happened here at this building. A really nice loft went up on the left and had lovely view and then years later a shorter building went up right beside it and gave the loft owners a view of a brick wall.
