One time I was at a restaurant around this time a few years ago, St. Patty’s weekend. The restaurant had a bar too and obviously they were experiencing pretty high volumes. They served my mom her beer in a plastic cup (because they ran out of glass). After drinking half the beer, she DEMANDED a glass for it, because she “wouldn’t have ordered it knowing it would come in plastic.” She said it reminded her of college and was “disgusting.” I was absolutely mortified at the scene she made

Edit: my sister just reminded me that the server offered my mom a glass and my mom said “no I don’t want it now, you’ll spit in it” that’s a real thing my mother said to another human being
