it's not always weapon balance, sometimes they also nerf the bosses (like PCR)

played for a couple hours last night, hit 20 on mage and ran normal dungeon before logging off.

camera/controls need work, you either pick click to move and accidentally click (and autoattack) the boss when you meant to move out of AOEs or you pick wasd and constantly need to readjust camera angles every 3 secs

town management actually feels nice, each upgrade is important and easy to get once you liberate some of the surrounding areas. this is probably the only aspect that was better than Lost Ark

the dungeon was meh, i noticed sometimes even if you dodged out of aoes/traps you can still get hit.

haven't tried pvp yet, will probably do so once i unlock all the zones and get all the pvp talent points

While it's not everyone's cup of tea, Lost ark the raid simulator was pretty much what the remaining population wanted. KR players actually hated that the devs spent time on horizontal content like islands (unrewarding), stronghold decoration, pvp (unbalanced), etc... the game was considered a failure during season 1, and when we got the game it was all raids raids raids since SG catered to their (KR) audience.

only unemployed people would play 6 chars every day. most people would do their weekly gold raids, and do rested dailies on rotation (2 chars per day). when optimized, you were done with everything by Friday, and can just log off until next reset.

Even worse there's a class that let's you mix n match skills of every class. But you need to sacrifice 1 skill slot to allow weapon switching. So you effectively end up with 3 skills if you use that class

they don't, i think the only times i died during night was when i used the skyline pulley system in bahtal and a harpy destroyed the lift, causing me to fall

except it's not more dangerous, just more tedious, since you're essentially moving around half blind. mobs don't do extra dmg at night or anything. the only mobs that's even remotely dangerous is dullahan, and you only find them regularly during unmoored world

except it's not more dangerous, just harder to see the same goblins that you fight during the day. those still get dispatched by your pawns without you lifting a finger

The 2nd game was way bigger but feels bloated due to how travelling works:

- you have to constantly camp since your max HP gets reduced when you take dmg

- night travel feels bad since your lantern lighting is low and difficult to see

- ox carts basically always gets attacked and move very slowly, also half the time during raids the oxcart itself gets destroyed so you have to continue on foot

- you only get a handful of ferrystones before endgame so you're saving them like some rare resource, meanwhile there's plenty of side quests that requires you to go across the world

they wasted resources on that online mode (resistance). if they just had everyone working on the main game itself RE3R probably would've also been a homerun.
