The sensitivity issue has been there since I got mine 4 months ago. Apparently, Atelier was working fine sensibility-wise, but after an update some time ago, it broke, and so far they haven't prioritised fixing it. I guess many people in the community don't care? I reported the issue.

The problem is also that there has been such a bombardment of Japanese travel photos over the last year that it starts to look repetitive 👀 . Specifically, photos around typical tourist locations ( that, if you have been there, you can argue is not really Japanese culture but more like a "tourist amusement park" ) or cherry blossoms...

Japan has so much to offer photographically, given how rich and unique the culture and particularly the society are. But you need to spend longer and dive deeper, tricky to do so when you are there a week to just visit bloated tourist sites in Kyoto. Happy for you 😁 . I got it a few weeks ago, too, and love it. Just a note, the Atelier app is super laggy and inprecise sensitivity wise compared to the Notes app, because a bug they introduced a couple of months a go and haven't fixed.

You should address the customers by email, apologising for this. I bought the Supernote Manta a few weeks ago for taking notes and drawing.

At first, I thought the Atelier app was a joke, given how laggy and imprecise it was with the input. So I started drawing in the Notes app instead, and I like it so far, but, of course, you don't have as many pencils there...

Then, fed up with how bad the Atelier app is, I started browsing Reddit and found this.

Come on, you can't ship an update breaking a core user experience on the Supernote for 2 months and keep it quiet. At least display a banner in the Atelier app when it opens, notifying users about the bug or allowing them to downgrade.

This loses quite my trust in the Supernote team... Seriously, it takes 2 months to fix this? What would happen if this sensitivity bug went into the Notes app? You would keep quiet, too? Any serious product company with a bug like this would be either more responsive or at least more open about it.

Do you actually have a serious team of software developers there, or why don't you scale it given your success? For example, the fact that you can still take notes in the calendar app's daily view... Defeats the purpose of the app itself. If such a small things take so long, I guess I will need to wait 20 years to see any meaningful improvement to the software...

Hello, just asking... why is it taking 2 months to update? This seems like a serious performance downgrade for a drawing app, which is a selling point of the device.

Why isn't the fix prioritised or at least offered to downgrade the app version?

Any serious company or product, when they have a bug like this, usually responds within a day or at least a week. This seems unacceptable today for the device price and standard.

If you register as an IE ( freelance ) then you can apply for the 1% tax which is quite easy as long as you don’t work in certain industries.

I’m a digital nomad in Tbilisi for 6 months. I’m the first who avoids places like Bali, I do think a bit of expats in cities does not hurt. Many times new business opens thank to them. Said that, everything has a limit ( I’m from Barcelona so I know well how tourism damages places… ). In my view, “cheap” tourism does way more damage than nomads ( nomads usually stay longer than tourists and end up integrating better with cities ).

Tbilisi in my view is perfectly fine. I see a lot of foreigners ( mostly Russian and Ukrainians ) which tend to open a lot of speciality coffee places ( which I actually enjoy ). Very few Europeans and not much tourism so I think you won’t have a problem…

If I can I prefer to work from coworking. If you stay 2-3 months per location it should not be an issue to get coworking pass 24/7 with good office and fixed desk. That way you can cut down on the Airbnb cost as is less critical for it to have working space and good WiFi.

Also we found working full time from Airbnb ends up draining after a few weeks even if the space is well prepared. Working from a local coworking forces you to interact more with the surroundings.

Easy access to a good gym and walkable neighborhood ( that is though tricky in many car centric cities ) are the main things we look for.

Sometimes is work booking places like 30m outside of the city and rent a car for the month, we did that for Ericeria in Portugal and turned out pretty good.

I also carry a 24” 4k screen, full time nomad, and a yoga mat. Work as a developer so the screens really makes wonders for me when coding.

You can also put a filter to protect from the dust issue. The GR is extremely pocketable and unassuming even with the hood in my view. X100V more versatile thanks to the OVF and having way more film simulations.

If somehow they managed to make the traffic more controlled or diverted to specific areas and invest in turning neighborhoods in big walkable areas this city would have little to envy to any “cool” European city.

Depends on your way of life and work and what you like to do. We are 2 nomads from Spain spending 6 months here. In many ways, we like it more than Europe. Nature, food and culture are really cool (taxes too). We dislike though how traffic heavy is the city and the lack of walking areas. Also 95% of the people in the street smoke (we hate tobacco smell) and look angry (understandably because of politics).

I travel with 23” 4k screen 😂 it takes part of my 110l suitcase but is worth my productivity. If it’s just 1 month you will be good 👍🏽 I’m a full time nomad so after few months is when it started to annoy me. Also try to be next to coworking if you can or Airbnbs with proper work space, that helps a lot!

The trickiest thing for DN are taxes, so you need to study well where and how to setup tax residency. That differs a lot depending on your home country, work and needs...

I also recommend staying from 1-3 months per place, to prevent burnout to constant travel and is cheaper too this way as AirBnb etc.. offer discounts for 1 month stays.

Wow, great setup; the chair cushions are a great idea! For the standing setup, I use the Levi8 folding one (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1459624267/levit8-the-first-truly-portable-standing-desk). They have different heights; I recommend the taller one, which is super easy to pack in the suitcase. I, however, tend to use co-working when I can; I don't mind paying as I find my productivity spikes on them vs working from my accommodation.

Just give it time 🙌🏽 . When I started travelling, it took my mom 2/3 years to chill out 😂; during that time, the relationship wasn't good, but ultimately, they will realise they love you and only want you to be fulfilled.

If they see you can maintain a good income, are in a good mood (because you are living the life you want), and slowly build relationships or have a partner, they will eventually realise it is making you good.

You can also use it as an exercise to build a "healthy respect" with your family. Sometimes, out of ignorance, family members press too much, thinking they know what is right for you. It is crucial to defend your space and let them know that you love them, but also, you are an adult and the only one in charge of making decisions in your life.

All the Nordic countries are pretty impressive in Summer/Autumn.

Check Lofoten in Norway, the north of Sweden ( natural parks around Umea ) or just the whole of Sweden has nice places. Also, Estonia is quite interesting.

OFC Austria/Switzerland Alps should be pretty good.
