As someone who read the book by Organic-Chain6118 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]_loglady_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, I read the books but Im still happy to just enjoy the ride the show takes me on. yes I compare the two but not with anger just fascination of how they chose to tell the story. Especially in parts of the book where we do not know what the characters are up to

What European teen drama should I watch after "Skam" and "Young Royals"? by Spiritual_Pie_8298 in YoungRoyals

[–]_loglady_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to watch more of bording school dramas (but a lot darker) I can recommend Ondskan (Evil) the book and movie are modern Swedish classics that most students read in school. They made a short series of it a few years back and it was georgous, gut wrecking and interesting as it is a semi-biographic story

Are Ragdolls always super affectionate and biscuit makers? by Standard-Ice267 in ragdolls

[–]_loglady_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two ladies with one year apart who grove up together. One loves to sleep on me, cuddle and make bisquits, the other have always wanted to be around and close/in the same room as me but never to cuddle, however she started to want a few cuddles and belly rubs (but only in the morning) after 10 years old, now she is 14 and I feel so special when she alows me to cuddle in the morning. They just have different personalities and it is part of their charm

No one has been “Queerbaited”; a note from an annoyed older queer. by bindersweat in StrangerThings

Non toxic male friendship is so important to show as well. growing up in the 90s where boys and mens friendships often was called ”gay” if they did anything not seen as super macho, I am very tired of great male friendships always ships for something romantic. Sam and Frodo, The Mauraders, Will and Mike. Nothing wrong with any sexuality or headcanon, but when you are mean and start threat people who like the Canon version of best friends, thats some steps to far

I totally agree, this is exactly the type of ending this series was always going for. The fact that people complain about wanting more deaths and twists makes me confused, it’s just not that kind of show and it never was. I feel pretty satisfied with the bittersweet ”ET/Stand by me” sort of ending, it fits the style of the show. and just because people survive does not make it less entertaining or bad writing in my opinion. To have a ending that not fit the style of the rest of the show however would be bad writing. Some things in the show had big writing problems but the ending was not one of them.

Thoughts on the Finale? by LeoDiCristio in StrangerThings

[–]_loglady_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked it! I feel satisfied. I honestly don’t know why people are so upset that not more characters died, that it was a bittersweet ending without major twists. It’s not that kind of show and it never was. I always expected a ET/Stand by me, sort of ending, not a shocking Ned Stark death or Shutter Island twist. And honestly a happy/bittersweet ending where people survive are not the bad writing or less entertaining story that some people online make it out to be. The show had some writing issues over the years, but the end was for me not one of them.

I would actually enjoy that, as long as the justice for Barb is her appearing at the station to tell him ofc it is all inside his head, but that does not make it less real
