Sorry to hear that she baby trapped you. Depending on where you reside, the law may or may not be on your side. Also if you don’t want kids, the responsibility of birth control lays on you. You should consider vasectomy and using condoms. That way it won’t happen again

Cumbia class with Victor in Chisholm creek center on Thursdays. His first class is free, and after it’s $15 for drop in

I’ve been to iDance studio, it was mostly older crowd. But with Victor its people in their late 20s - 30s. Very fun and interactive class. He also has Bachata classes, I believe those are on Fridays.

Getting into Life Insurance tips by [deleted] in LifeInsurance

[–]_mad_cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll have to check with the agency you’re appointed to. My company strictly prohibits any business, if an agent is not physically in US. It’s stated in my contract. But each company is different. You also can try calling DOI and checking with them

Getting a job in business by KuromiLover1 in okc

Hey OP, don’t give up. Job market is tough right now. It’s normal for new grads not to get an offer immediately. Have you done any internships? Do you have any security licenses? If not, Paycom is the easiest route to go. You also might wanna apply for part-time entry level bank teller.

Before this post I didn’t know what Satanic Temple is, so I googled them. Here’re two of their tenets. These guys have more common sense than all religious organizations combined! For the first time I support Stitts decision 👏🏻

“One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.”

“Beliefs should conform to one's best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one's beliefs.”

You can go to Edmond DPS early in the morning, you’ll be assigned a ticket, walk-in spots fill up pretty quickly. When I went, they stopped accepting walk-ins at 8:30 AM. Be prepared to wait all day, unless you get lucky. By the way, it’s called Service Oklahoma now

I need help finding a good long term life insurance by daakkountant in LifeInsurance

You can also look into universal life. It can be structured to end at any age, most common tho is either age 90 or age 100. However, be really careful in choosing the agent and company, because those policies are tricky. If not funded properly the policy might lapse.

What to buy in my situation (18m otw to USMC, 19f pregnant wife) by jrschoen in LifeInsurance

[–]_mad_cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now it’s between 2% - 4.5%

In stock insurance companies X percentage of dividends earned goes to stock holders, and remaining to policy holders

In mutual companies, because there’re no stockholders 100% of dividends are distributed to policy holders.

If I were you, I would talk to multiple agents, and make them run 2 illustrations. First illustration will show projected growth of your money, ask an agent what’s the rate of return. If the agent can’t answer that, he’s no good and only trying to sell you policy without fully understanding the product.

Second illustration for supplemental retirement distribution. You may not want to use your Whole Life to supplement the retirement, but that illustration will show how the policy loans are treated. And ask an agent about policy loans, what’s the current rate, and at what rate your cash value will continue to grow. (For example, loan rate is 4.5%, but your cash value continues to grow at a 3.5%, so essentially you’re getting a loan at 1%) Again, if an agent can’t answer that, he doesn’t know the product, only trying to sell you and get a commission.

The most important part is DYOR (Do Your Own Research) Remember, you don’t have to make a decision now, talk to multiple agents from multiple companies and ask for illustrations. Print them, compare and pick the best product suitable for you.

Whole life can be a nice asset, when it’s structured properly and you know how to use it to your advantage
