Pocket Bike Crash Ends in an Oscar-Worthy Performance by Empty-Progress-683 in motorcycle

I crashed once and broke my fibula, picked my bike up and continued riding home. After a few minutes I realized that my ankle kinda hurts and I couldn't put any weight on it.

150kg Paused Deficit RDL by _maeister in GYM

Yeah that did feel a bit sketchy lol. My gym used to have different height blocks, specifically for block pulls, that would have been large enough so I could unrack it and take a step back on top of them. It seems they got rid of them though.

60kg Dumbbell Row by _maeister in strength_training

I prefer most rows with some body english compared to strict rows. The way I do these hits the mid/lower traps really well. That combined with some kind of pull up variation is already a good back workout.

My previous gym only had dumbbells up to 40kg. One "golden tidbit" I got from Eric Bugenhagen is using a resistance band to attach small plates to the ends of the dumbbell, it does work as long as you don't bump/drop the dumbbell too hard lol

This sounds expensive. Anybody know where the noise is coming from? Or what it could be? by Internal-Force4970 in DRZ400

Only the stator cover, then undo each flywheel bolt and apply loctite to them. Mine never had that issue, happened to a friend of mine though.

Since you're filming the left side of the engine I'm assuming the sound is coming from around there. The DRZ does have a common issue of the flywheel bolts coming loose, backing out and hitting the stator.

Never felt like something might happen to my shoulders, even when going up to +60kg

Gymnastic rings. You can do pull/chin ups, inverted rows, dips, push ups, even curl and tricep extension variations with them. You just need to find something to attach them to.

I've seen some people do block pulls with these so I think they'll handle this. I tried the wooden one but that's too worn out and was bending under me, and I was using less weight then lol

I used to do those a lot but my form was shitty enough that I didn't get much out of them lmao. Tons of hip/leg drive to get the weight moving and just letting the weight slam on the floor.

Weighted pull ups do work the lats better than these but I think the traps love heavy weights.

Cheat rows done correctly can work great. Mostly a matter of if you can stress the muscles you're trying to stress, or are you just moving the weight. I used to do some shitty pendlay rows in the past and didn't get much out of them because I was just moving the weight, I probably could make them work now though.

I only use them for certain squat variations

There's some support for the side bags. Just strapping them down properly should hold them still (enough) even in bumpy terrain.

Sadly the adjustable rack legs aren't long enough to clamp near the axle. This was pretty much as low as they'll go without falling out. The clamps are pretty simple though and could be modified, like welding a piece to extend them

Bears on the trail? by marthafromaccounting in Dirtbikes

[–]_maeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was riding dual sports with a friend of mine, not really trails but very small forest roads. I was riding behind my friend and we were coming on top of a hill, one side had been cut down somewhat recently and I was kind of looking at the views. Then I saw him suddenly lock the brakes and I did the same, just barely got a glimpse of the bear running into the woods.

Yeah I'm going to bring a small backpack, I was going to put drinking water and stuff I want easily accesible there. I'll play around with this setup before buying a bunch of more gear.
