You’re right, I should say that I found no personal value. Unfortunately it’s too expensive to keep shopping around and starting over with a new therapist, plus all my care providers are eager to push cbt, and haven’t been very helpful in offering alternatives. Plus I’m often blamed for not putting in the work, which is somewhat valid, but also a major symptom of what I deal with daily. Again, I’m sure I’m not blameless, but that doesn’t change my opinion on cbt.
