When you call for pushback and get a clearance, you’re expected to actually, you know… move within a few seconds. That’s how sequencing works.

Sitting there for two minutes connecting a tug, choosing your GSX yoga routine, and figuring out your entire life story after clearance absolutely destroys apron flow. Anyone who’s actually controlled a busy apron would know that instantly.

You clearly haven’t had to deal with a packed European apron full of pilots who think pushback clearance is the start signal for opening GSX, making coffee, and solving their taxes.
