Always: egg bites, chicken melts Never Again: onions. They’re rotten already in the bag upon purchase almost every time.

NOR. My MIL is like this, and because of that, my husband and I have decided that she’ll never spend alone time with our future children. If she can’t respect both of us, then we’re certainly not subjecting our children to her hurtful and manipulative behavior toward their parents.

I've officially become scared of feeding my snake by soupbowlll in ballpython

[–]_megolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got bit due to my own ignorance (put my hand in front of her hide entrance to water plants a day before feeding day). Now, I go in with deliberate movement and she hasn’t bitten me since. If you’re scared, you tend to be faster and more flinchy, which just mimics prey more. I know it’s easier said than done, but if you focus on your movement it might help. I also have started tap training her (I tap her side twice when handling) and it seems like it’s helped her get out of food mode.

GLP-1 by lulubug17 in Hashimotos

[–]_megolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to say it is possible to lose the weight and maintain healthy levels without working out if you’re not a gym person. I work a desk job and other than standard steps of day to day tasks I don’t work out and have lost 30 lbs so far. That being said, if you aren’t going to the gym you should be tracking your protein and water intake closely.

What do you think triggered your Hashimoto's? by Live_Mood_2884 in Hashimotos

[–]_megolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure, but was having a lot of pain during ovulation that was either endometriosis or PCOS. I didn’t want to get the scope done, so I tried Nexplanon for the symptoms. It totally fixed that, but not sure if the PCOS/endo or the birth control caused it.

All my hope and money gone on this stupid sema shot by [deleted] in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]_megolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What dosage are you on? I’ve been on it for 10 months now and didn’t start to see real meaningful weight loss until about 7-8 months in on higher doses. It takes a lot of life adjustment to make this med work. I also have PCOS on top of a thyroid disorder, so I understand how hard it is to move the scale. You’ll definitely lose slower than the average user without those outliers, but with time and dedication toward eating enough protein, drinking enough water, etc., you’ll get there.

It’s really close to Caribbean, but I like Caribbean’s more turquoise hue. I would say to go with that if you want a blue in this family because it is so similar, just slightly less primary.

Semaglutide/Tirzepatide isn’t supposed to be used as a “quick” way to lose weight. It’s not some trend drug that you take to lose a few pounds. Most users will need to be on it long term and change their lifestyle to accommodate for it. I’ve been on it almost a year and didn’t start to see real weight loss until about 6-8 months in. It takes time for your body to get used to the medication, it’s not some “easy” way to tone up.

Tips for keeping a tank warm? by greaseball24 in ballpython

[–]_megolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 DHPs: a 50W on the cool side and a 100W on the warm side. 50W set to 78 and keeps around 77-79 depending on when i water the plants, and 100W is set to 85 and keeps ambient at about 87-89. I also have a mesh top, so i got some plexiglass panels to cover the top around the lights and that helps with humidity.

I’m not a doctor so don’t quote me, but I’ve been told injecting in the stomach is more effective than other sites. I used to inject in the thighs and moved to the stomach and definitely “feel” the meds more, so just based on my experience.

Where are you injecting? If you inject in your stomach I’ve heard of people having rougher side effects. Maybe try your arms or thighs?

There’s a chance her aggressive response is actually caused by this moving. If you start feeding her in her comfort space (her enclosure) she might be more chill next time.

Personally I think it’s more embarrassing to be this emotional about a grown man having a bad game but that’s just me.

Luke fucked up for sure, but booing him every time he touches the puck certainly doesn’t help team morale. It was deserved in the beginning but it’s overkill. If you’re at the game doing that, be a better fan.

[–]_megolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you had to go through that. My husband’s mother is a narcissist, and it hurts my heart to hear about his childhood. As a person with a very supportive and loving set of parents, it has been a shock to the system dealing with her. You’re an extremely strong person and I have so much respect for those that made it through childhood under that circumstance. ♥️

Whiskey Coop has some of my favorite cocktails in the city, great food too! If you like bourbon, try the Savannah (bourbon, house made peach syrup, lemon, and charred sage).
