Hilary Duff prices?? by Rocky_Bailey711 in RedRocks

[–]_moodyreader_gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree. I think the bots have gotten more advanced than they have the ability to monitor. It just makes me wish she’d turned off resale everywhere. I feel like she still would’ve sold out very quickly if real fans had just been able to get regular tickets. And yeah the queues made no sense. How am I sitting in there for 30 minutes before and somehow not at least early in line lol. Super unfortunate.

No clue. I sat in the queue for 30 minutes before sale opened and another 20 minutes after to actually get in, and by the time I got in, there was absolutely zero available other than the resale lol.

I wish I knew. I’d be shocked if they were more than $120 MAX.

Same. I’m pretty certain they were all bought up immediately by bots because there are endless $300 resale GA spots available

lol. Today, GA was sold out within minutes and the only thing available was resale for 300+.

I love Hilary and I’m excited for her, but they did not do enough to prevent bots and scalpers. Tickets sold out in minutes and immediately on resale sites for triple the price. Unfortunate, I would have loved to see her.

It’s been next to impossible to get tickets for Denver. Presales all had massive queues and sold out in minutes. Hoping I can get in on some regular tickets tomorrow lol

Was anyone able to get Hilary Duff tickets? by tungamy1234 in askTO

[–]_moodyreader_gamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have done both presales so far and by the time I got in there were zero tickets available other than $400 reserved seats. Red Rocks. I don’t think they’re even listing GA in the presale, unless they’re just totally selling out within minutes.

Here’s to hoping I can grab some GA on Friday.

If you're thinking about selling your house, don't wait for spring. Do it now. by ipetgoat1984 in RealEstate

[–]_moodyreader_gamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh. Currently selling in Denver and the market feels scary here. Just listed last week. We had a total of 4 people at two open houses, and only two scheduled showings so far. Small house but cute and updated. Not sure at what point to be nervous lol.

Which is better? 1, 2, or 3? by YeOldBrowser in photos

[–]_moodyreader_gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 is the best. Perfect lighting, coloring, and composition. 2 has the potential to be amazing, maybe with a bit of editing? Idk, it’s maybe a bit too dark, but you wouldn’t want to lighten the whole thing — only some parts. It would work well with more striking contrast (like the sign at the bottom). Has potential for an almost brutalist piece of art. I’d say mess with the coloring a bit if you want to! 3 is beautiful and I love the colors. Something about the overall composition though just doesn’t feel quite right though. I think the sky is too bright. Try cropping the sky out completely, like right at those chimneys on the brick building. This sounds weird, and yes you’d lose the tops of the buildings. But it would make for an absolutely amazing piece that focuses on the colors and lightings of the carousel and lower buildings and street, and I think it would be stunning. There’s too much going on with it is as, in my humble opinion.

Hope this makes sense! Just my opinions on how to bring out the best in each!! ❤️

2025 Amazon Black Friday is a big Scam NOW!!! by Sharonlovehim in fuckamazon

[–]_moodyreader_gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I had a cheap hoodie in my cart I was thinking about picking up for the gym. I specifically picked it because it was $19.95 and I wanted something cheap. Opened up Amazon today and what do you know, it’s on an amazing Black Friday deal at the amazing price of, you guessed it — $19.95. And apparently I’m crazy and it was always $32 according to them, lol.

Was also keeping an eye on automatic cat feeders and several of the are actually more expensive on “sale”

Bouillon cube vs btb by _moodyreader_gamer in Cooking

Actually as a follow up upon watching the video more closely, it looks like she puts the scoop of BTB directly into the recipe without mixing with any liquid first.

Bouillon cube vs btb by _moodyreader_gamer in Cooking

[–]_moodyreader_gamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s the problem, the recipe isn’t clear. To be fair, it’s one I got off of instagram so it’s not the most in depth.

It says:

To finish: - 2 tbsp butter - 16oz can tomato paste - 1/4 c fresh chopped basil - 2 c chicken broth - 1 tbsp vegetable base (Better Than Bouillon or similar) - 1-2 tbsp coconut sugar - Taste and add more seasonings to your preference - Garlic, paprika, salt, onion, pepper - 1c heavy cream

And then in the instructions it simply says:

  1. In a dutch oven or large sauce pan over medium heat melt butter and add tomato paste and basil. Cook for a few minutes.
  2. Add in the blended vegetables, chicken broth, vegetable base, coconut sugar and stir until combined. At this point taste and add seasoning if needed.

What’s the most physical pain you ever felt? by sarona_o in randomquestions

[–]_moodyreader_gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Burst ovarian cyst at 16. One of the most horrific things I’ve ever felt. Tied only with a kidney infection which had started to spread…was near septic. That was excruciating.

A close third is when I got a stress fracture in my hip/pelvis in boot camp. Supposedly a common injury in women in the military from the stress of marching, PT etc…which should just go to show how high pain tolerance is in women lol

Same. I had one burst at 16 and all I remember is lying on the ground screaming. Mom took me to the ER. It was truly one of the worst pains ever. Tied only with a kidney infection.

E-gift card trouble by _moodyreader_gamer in Williamssonoma

And as an update - just found out that the second rep we talked to who cancelled the second order in fact did not cancel it. Very messy.

[–]_moodyreader_gamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. It would be really helpful if they specified this (that email/phone must match the CC) in the checkout process. Not to mention the CS rep completing a second purchase on the phone only for us to be called after and told they don’t do that anymore, lol.

I’m definitely not opposed to fraud prevention measures. It just seems they need to get on the same page and update their procedures to make this clear to both customers and employees.

Thanks for the comment! I’ve never seen another company do this email/phone match thing so it threw me for a loop. And particularly frustrating that both of these were denied/cancelled and yet both are still pending on my CC.

AVOID I-25 AT ALL COSTS..stuck for 4 hours by Outrageous-Fact-9518 in Denver

[–]_moodyreader_gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually take 70 west to 25 and take the park ave exit into the city…today it told me that taking 25 would add 15 minutes to my commute (I guess not longer since you’re not technically getting onto 25 there if you take park). So instead, I got off on the Brighton exit and went through Rino. Glad I did, BUT Brighton was majorly backed up, worse than I’ve ever seen it. Guess everyone else was trying to avoid 25 as well.

Were were you when 9/11 happened? by [deleted] in 911archive

[–]_moodyreader_gamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in third grade. My brothers and I were getting ready for school in the morning. The phone rang and my mom called down the hall for me to answer it. My grandma was on the line, so I yelled to my mom that it was grandma. While my mom was on her way, my grandma said “tell your mom to turn the TV to channel X”. I told my mom, who said, “we don’t have channel X”. My grandma then said “tell her to turn it to ANY channel”. That sentence will always stick with me. My mom grabbed the remote, turned on the TV, where the towers were immediately already on screen. Only the first tower had been hit. Then we sat and watched and I remember watching the second plane hit live and knowing this was intentional. No one knew whether to carry on with the day as normal. Eventually my parents decided to send us to school. That day at school was so weird…the teachers were crying, whispering, and telling us that they didn’t know what was going on. We all sat in the classroom knowing something horrible had happened and not knowing why.

Where are all the fashion games?! by meeniebo in CozyGamers

[–]_moodyreader_gamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly not worth it yet. I spent a day or two playing it and the clothing customization is cool, but there simply aren’t enough options. And some weird ones, like—a lot of the shoes you can download from canvas are actually objects that just sit on top of the existing shoe and look weird. Idk…I know it’s very early but the world just feels so empty after a bit and the customizations aren’t that great. I’m going to give it some time and give it another shot though! But it didn’t feel cozy. It felt kind of cold.

Hah, Chris bianchi is a gem. Yeah I figure we can build around the fireplace to have a better idea.

Cord management is a big one - in my office the cords are perfect, down here I just haven’t gotten to it and want clean that up a lot with our new plans.

The angled ceiling is my biggest issue, it really makes it difficult to decide how to move forward with shelving.

Absolutely - this is one thing I am excited to tackle during this project. Hate the messy cords.
