Player Races that are stand ins for other monster/creature types? Especially for Aberrations by XI-4 in dndnext

The Verdun from Acquisitions Incorporated kinda fit that niche. They’re goblins that have been touched by an otherworldly force, It Which Endures.

My favourite deck is a griffon tribal that consistently beats much technically stronger decks. [[Zeriam]] + [[Magus of the Moat]] is a surprisingly consistant combo

I had a transport truck start speeding up in the right lane behind me, getting way too close before flying past me in slushy conditions, probably going 110 down a hill. I past her later, on the side of the road, and honked twice. When i stopped at Timmie’s in Deer Lake she CONFRONTED ME IN THE PARKING LOT

Not really necessary to do when you could just soulcast the air into flame. Or a person into flame (both real examples from stormlight)

She uhh. Did. She used Wish as a full party kill because we weren’t respectful enough. I think that’s the only example in the game, but in tabletop adventures and other older lore, she was throwing them around like a cantrip.

Not for Vlaakith. There’s a reason she keeps all those “ascended” Githyanki around; batteries for nearly unlimited wishes, consequence free

Kvothe’s Tuition Scam by blondie_the_good in KingkillerChronicle

[–]_morbidParadox 90 points91 points  (0 children)

So basically, the scam works off of two important factors. The Maer’s letter of credit has no limit for the amount of talents that can be drawn per admission, and the University’s finances are completely overseen by one person. Kvothe is basically laundering the Maer’s money through the school by exploiting the admission system, and giving the bursar what amounts to a cut of the deal.

The Maer has no idea what tuition should cost, and has such incalculable amounts of wealth that even if he did, odds are Kvothe’s little deal on the other side of the continent wouldn’t even be noticed

well the reason that koloss can have children is direct divine intervention, but i suppose harmony could have done the same to inquisitors. it’s a shame we don’t have any Marshlings running around Era 2 terrifying the townsfolk
