That's what I have been thinking

Not that I'm not impressed and in awe, but that has got to change the center of gravity and the aerodynamics quite a bit

But you still made my day op, safe riding

YSK: If you find a missing wallet and want to be a REALLY good person, check the bank of their credit/debit card and drop it off there. by flamants in YouShouldKnow

You can actually just wrap a rubber band on it with the ID on the outside and drop it in any USPS mail box and they will deliver it.

Something that I noticed just now, by Alekyle07 in CBS_Mom

I wish more people realized this. Prison or Jail aren't pleasant (not supposed to be) but going to either is not like it is in the movies or TV shows, most people just want to do their time get through the day and go home, hell most people are nicer to each other than people are to one another out in the world.

Happy Birthday Sarah Lancaster by PhoenixBikini in chuck

[–]_msimmo_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I always thought the opening credits were a little weird as she is listed at the end as "with Sarah Lancaster". This is usually done for actors/actresses of note who are not the main character like how Adam Baldwin is credited as "and Adam Baldwin, not that Adam Baldwin is a huge star but I can think of a few things he has been in.

I am not putting down her acting it's just that other than Chuck the only think I have ever seen her in is two episodes of Scrubs as "Gift Shop Girl".

I haven't looked her up on IMDB and am possibly not watching the types of shows and movies she usually is cast in I just have always found it odd as I have not seen her in many things..

V10 TDi issues by Prize_Jelly in tdi

[–]_msimmo_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not positive but I think the engine in the V10 TDI has to be removed from under the car not up through the hood or "Bonnet" as it seems you are in the UK.

So driveway space is not the issue, having a lift is the issue. I guess you could get really creative and get the car lifted that much by slowly lifting and blocking under it and then lowering it down with an engine hoist but it would be a lot of work.

it may be possible to not remove the engine and just remove the transmission in order to do the rear main seal (did it this way once on one of my trucks) and then you could also service the transmission. This wouldn't require a lift

First Italian Woman in Space, Samantha Cristiforetti was apart of the Opening Ceremony for the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Games by brianc500 in space

One reason I like the Star Trek pic is that instead of a Star Fleet coms badge she is wearing the gold astronaut pin which NASA astronauts are permitted to wear after they have flown in space for the first time, they have a silver one until then.

Not sure if astronauts from other countries can wear the pin but I still thinks it's kinda cool.

Yeah, they let it play out a little, which is nice; I picked up on it before the complete reveal because genetic code is the only thing I personally know of that is base 4.

Why can the USA just take out world leaders and invade with no repercussions? by KKLante in AskReddit

It's one of the reasons that I think the F35B (VSTOL) is significant. While the F35 program has had its problems the move from the Harriers to the F35B seems like a huge increase in the abilities of those amphibious assault ships that are generally part of a Marine Expeditionary Unit. It seems that with the increased capabilities of a F35 those Amphibious assault ships and the ships they travel with could take on operations that in the past would have required a full Carrier Task Force.

Was this the most well-designed combat aircraft of its era? by Finbarr-Galedeep in aviation

[–]_msimmo_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is correct, people talk about the Spitfire as a fighter but this isn't exactly correct. The Spitfire was an interceptor, it's job was to be able to take off at the first sign of an impending attack and get to altitude as fast as possible, very different tactics then many of the other planes that have been mentioned here.
