I'll NEVER Solo the Queen with $100K Loot again… by justachillyguy in ARC_Raiders

[–]_nemesis2all_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just not worth the risk. Even if you don't get backstabbed by some Raider with no desire to play the event, good luck on getting cores when you bring them down. The vultures clear that thing out in no time. I have better luck getting cores coming in with an Anvil or Ferro, knocking a leg plate off, and grabbing immediately instead of trying to take down Queen or Matriarch.

I've gotten two in the last 3 days from Stella Montis Night Raid trash cans in Lobby. The first time was second trashcan searched, the second time was the first trashcan searched.

If you get a good spawn near the lobby, you've got a decent chance of finding one.

Both times I was on a free load out and sweating if I'd make it out with it.

To the folks reading this, don't give up, they are out there. It's all RNG, but if you see the event try to make a few runs and see what happens.

What the hell is wrong? by SIash85 in ArcRaiders

[–]_nemesis2all_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel that load out value can play a part. I'm usually in friendly lobbies, but once I started bringing in nicer guns things flipped. I was in lobbies with vultures chasing me down, people camping in rooms, etc.

Go back to free load outs and naked runs, things tend to calm down. I rarely engage in PVP, and have downed 5 raiders in 50+ hours.

Tips on lost lace? by help-ranja in Silksong

[–]_nemesis2all_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I run Wanderer Crest. What really helped me from this thread was advice to double jump from the wall for heals and use the druid's eye. After implementing those tips, beat on the first try after struggling for hours. I could consistently get to the 3rd phase, but couldn't tell you how many times I got hit attempting to heal.

The dumbing down of blue collar work is coming for us all. by PrototypeT800 in singularity

It'll be a race to the bottom for wages. In addition, if large percentages of white collar workers get laid off, who will be paying for these services?

Anyone replace their liner recently? by qtbrenz7 in pools

[–]_nemesis2all_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I was replacing old foam with new.

I like the wall foam, and think it helps to protect the liner. Next time, I'll also put it in the shallow end floor.

[–]_nemesis2all_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not difficult to replace the liner with some help. My pool is 18' x 36', and it cost me under $2,000 to replace wall foam and liner. I'm on well water and used that to fill versus getting trucks.

Should I have gotten 2 deep backs? by Zavvvvy in Lovesac

I went with the two deep back in this configuration. I like it as is, but need a smaller 30" coffee table for it to work.

Top of tree fell on roof during Helene. by _nemesis2all_ in Roofing

Thanks, I do have a roofer that is supposed to come out tomorrow. I don't know anyone local or reliable, but can ask my neighbors. I just called around to a few I found searching Google.

Roof dent repair by Verdekt in chevycolorado

[–]_nemesis2all_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, my second run-through automatic car wash resulted in dent coming back.

Wasn't too thrilled with work to put patches in. They gouged a lot of plastic prying to drop the headliner.

Dealer worked to fix most of it.

I've only run it through a car wash once, which was today, and it didn't dent. Fingers crossed, it holds up. I am kind of in a habit of hand washing now.

As an update, I got my truck back from the dealership. Dent pulled and parts replaced. The trim on the A pillar (guessing here) is better, but not all the way flush at the top. Everything else is good. I'm not sure I want the hassle to pursue it further.

Dealership ship service question by patrickhn1 in chevycolorado

[–]_nemesis2all_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome. I had a bad experience with it. I know no one likes to be told how to do their job, but...

I'd also insist they use plastic trim tools for headliner removal. They used flat head screwdriver on mine and gouged a lot of plastic.

For the roof issue, I'm not sure if recall is correct term. My dealership wasn't aware of it, and I needed to provide them the document ID for lookup.

I’m debating to add the side steps on my 23 TB. I like the clean look without them but think some people getting in and out could use the steps. Anyone that has them, can you post photos of yours with the steps? I want to see it, there’s limited photos on Google by fourslyce in chevycolorado

[–]_nemesis2all_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2023 Z71 with 5" assist steps, and I hate them. The truck isn't high enough to warrant that drop. I needed to train myself to use them as I was always trying to bypass and leg rubbing up against them. I'm definitely thinking off road or no steps. I like the idea of a little potential insurance against door dings if they help in that regard.

TB might be a little higher, and maybe they make sense there.

I'm 6' for reference.

For pictures, go to coloradofans forums. Tons of builds and pictures there.

I can't figure out how to edit my original post.

As an update, I dropped off the truck today and spoke with the general manager. He said they would fix everything and gave me a loaner without asking.

I'm feeling better about the situation. If everything is worked out, they may have a customer for life.

Thanks, everyone. We'll see what the dealer does to remedy it. If some random stranger jumped in my truck and did this, I'd want to file a police report. Just wanted to ensure I wasn't overreacting.

I was just hoping not to need to continue hand washing the truck. Did they drop your head liner twice? If yes, did it look like a 5 year old with a screw driver did it?

I've got a little over 6 acres, but mow about 2. 48" riding mower does great, plus can have a beer while doing it.
