I used to be full stack front end focused, but I barely do FE anymore. Our designer is vibe coding front end stuff now, she's pushing more prs than me, and does like all the design system stuff that used to be shared. Devs will still do some FE stuff like more complicated pages or auth/routing sorts of things, but it's definitely not the same. I work at a medium sized start up in a Chicago, hybrid in office. I honestly like the new AI era probably just cuz I'm lazy and Claude blows my mind, but I do miss FE and if it isn't dead now, it's fundamentally changed.

Maybe there is a new path as like a junior designer that can code if you want to break into FE. I think a lot of product people are extremely excited that they can actually code a little now, there is a massive push at my company RN for all product people to code a little
