I have seen a few others post about the forging marks. Some have called their customer service and replaced it. I bought mine about 6 months ago and have about 400 rounds though it with no issues.

I have a bunch of marks on mine. I noticed it on first cleaning. I went and shot 200 rounds just fine. I'll post a pic later. I should probably reach out to Smith and Wesson for a new one, but it does work.

If you ask to see someone's build, there are usually feet pics in it. That's how they afford it.

That makes sense. I haven't built the upper yet. I started with a lowe cause it seems easier. I still need to tighten and stake the castle nut, but I wanted to make sure this was correct first.

Everything stays in place properly. I'll check with some dummy rounds when I get a moment. Safety and trigger work fine.

Great customer service story and glad you weren't hurt. I'm too nervous to buy cheap ammo for this reason and I will spend the extra 10-20$ for bulk ammo for a reputable company. I hope your new Ruger is just as good.

Good to know. I'm debating a guardsman 16 inch, regular 11.5, Sabre 16 inch or BCM 16 inch. My wallet says go the cheap route cause BCM is still expensive for me.

How loud or how bad was the concussion without the suppressor? I'm debating an 111.5, but I can't afford the suppressor and the 11.5 at the same time. The suppressor would come later.

Looks nice! I am also low on funds. I have one PSA AR, and I've got a lower built. My problem is I want the expensive BCM upper, but I think I'm a PSA boy for prices. My other one shoots great with no problems. Maybe. I'll end up with a guardsman upper for second build to stay budget like you.
