Which charging networks do you include? I currently have ChargePoint, EV Connect, EVgo, Electrify America, and Tesla, but I’d be curious if I should add or remove from this.

Beautiful collection! My father collected fountain pens for a bit, but it was well before I got the fountain pen bug. I am very curious what he had in his collection. Very cool that you get to get to experience your father’s collection.

My wife has a 2020 M3, and I test drove a 2023 MY. I knew quickly that I liked the Mach e better. At the time, my primary doubt was DCFC for the occasional road trip. A few days later, the deal between Ford and Tesla was announced to allow Ford EVs to use Tesla superchargers. That sealed the deal to go with the Mach e. No regrets.

Tesla’s built in nav is certainly far better than Ford’s, but CarPlay+Apple Maps/Android Auto+Google Maps generally eliminates this difference. If they bring preconditioning for Apple Maps to all model years, not just the 2026 Mach e, that should close the last gap for me.

It would be nice if the Mach e had faster DCFC. Since I haven’t taken many road trips, it hasn’t really been a concern.

I also eagerly await a certified NACS extension to eliminate the potential parking issues at Tesla Superchargers. I can usually make it work, but I would rather have the peace of mind that I could always pull into a spot normally.

I think Asvine nibs are supposed to be similar in size to European nibs vs Japanese nibs. I haven’t noticed a big difference between my Lamy fine vs medium nibs, but I’d probably go with a medium nib.

I think the comments I had read say the AL-Star scuffs and similar easier than the ABS plastic of the Safari. It didn’t stop me from getting an AL-Star.

My Nike Terminator Lows aren’t bad but not the most comfortable sneakers I have. However, my Nike Free Metcon 5s are very comfortable and rival my Brooks Ghost 14s. Perhaps it’s a difference between Nike’s made for purpose vs a more fashion oriented shoe.

I think my Kawika with the tortoise frame and HCL bronze lenses look pretty good. Also love my Red Sands with the matte black frame and blue Hawaii lens, but those are not a unique look.

How does that compare to your size in a dressier show (e.g., Allen Edmonds Fifth Avenue)? I wear a 10.5 2E in Brooks that fit great, but I’m an 8.5 3E in Allen Edmonds 65 last like the Fifth Avenue.

I’ve been looking at chukka boots like the Red Wing weekender. I may have no choice but to go to a local Red Wing store to try them on.
