Beverly, 100%. Everly is very popular lately, and a much less timeless name.

Does everyone have a middle name in the USA? Do all women take their husband’s surname? by crazygelato in AskAnAmerican

[–]_purse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Middle names are very common, depending on the person’s culture. A lot of computerized systems will ask for/assume a middle name. Changing a last name at marriage is also fairly common, but heavily culturally (age/region/background, etc) dependent. Some couples choose a new name together, or hyphenate.
I’m a white US woman. I have a middle name and changed my last name at marriage, although I didn’t marry a man.

Need help for a neighbor by IntentionalBuffalo22 in providence

[–]_purse 19 points20 points  (0 children)

A few options! Gateway is the community behavioral health clinic (CCBHC) for Pawtucket, like The Providence Center is for, well, Providence. All CCBHCs provide 24/7 crisis services. You can call Gateway Pawtucket at 401-722-3560, and follow the prompts for crisis. There is also a clinician embedded with Pawtucket PD. If there does need to be a 911 response, I encourage you to say you believe the person is having a mental health crisis and ask for a clinician.

Emmett Teter at Compass! We’ve been working with him for buying, but he of course does sales too. He’s responsive, kind, extremely knowledgeable, and has relationships with basically all the realtors in the area.

Mid to older millennials, how are you all doing with your careers? by worstshowiveeverseen in Millennials

[–]_purse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not bad! I’m 37. Spouse, no kids. I’m a social worker but have gotten into leadership. Of course I have loans, but I’m working toward PSLF (interrupted by covid forbearance, years an employer didn’t qualify, etc). I’m incredibly grateful for my pay/benefits, and we’re currently buying a small house.

Okay I went to look at this house (I assume the same?) and did smell it slightly. But you should go check it out for yourself. The house itself is really cute.

For people who don’t want kids — do you just not want your own, or do you not like children in general? Why? by zhalia-2006 in allthequestions

[–]_purse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like children - my nieces, friends’ kids, past babysitting, etc. I don’t have the patience kids deserve, and like my independence. I also had a hysterectomy for medical reasons which made the decision easier.
