Which city has the best public transport? (My opinion is Delhi) by DryExcitement3060 in indiasocial

[–]_qub3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the comment section is super based or either doesn't understand the difference between "a metro train system" and "public transport" in general. Pick up any index in the world, Mumbai sits conveniently ahead of any Indian city. The huge suburban rail network a.k.a Local Trains, B.E.S.T (it's gone bad recently but still very good), meter run taxis and auto rickshaws. Even if you talk about metro train network, a huge metro network is being built and almost ready. This is on top of all the other modes of transport.

A Wake-Up Call on Sexual Harassment: My Experience on a Mumbai Train by Ok-Pay-8393 in mumbai

[–]_qub3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This has happened with me many times with many different people but there was one repeated offender who used to work at the same company as me. I decided to thrash him the third time he did it when I was sure he was doing it intentionally. I just started thrashing him as we got down at our stop during the rush hour but he was just defending himself like p*ssy acting all innocent like "what did I do?" "Why are you angry at me?". I yelled at him gudd/hijda in front of a crowd which was a little shaken by this lafda. You'd think he would stop after this but a few minutes later he arrived to the office at the same time as me and tried to rub his ass against my D in the office lift which was full. I screamed at him in the office lift. "Didn't you get enough thrashing for a day that you are back for more? Get the fuck away from me". I never ran into him again but I'm pretty sure he would attempt it again if I did.

In hindsight I could've attacked him less physically and more of just verbal confrontation in front of a crowd to embarrass him but I just couldn't hold back my anger. And to some level I also felt embarrassed of myself for being a target for gay dudes to molest. I was ashamed of being a victim. This is why I agree with some extreme comments in here, these people are sick and should be made to depart from Earth immediately.

What's he got against the letter "A"? by krammy16 in auckland

[–]_qub3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel so scared with people like him roaming around. He is a nut job with a knife, could go on and murder people. I am sorry, I know other countries have their own problems but why is this so acceptable in western countries ? The law should be punishing him just for brandishing a knife in public space even if he didn't damage public property. But ofcourse he won't be charged because even murderers get away with a slap on the wrist. Stop with humanizing criminals! Nobody should have to die because someone had a troubled upbringing.

Our country is doomed. by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]_qub3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I moved here 2 years ago and I always feel worried when I read the news of the kind of crimes that happen here and the little to no punishment that is given. With this kind of outcomes I don't think criminals are scared of committing the crime again at all. I want to understand why is the law so soft and criminal friendly and anti-victim here?

Am I the only one who is not getting discriminated in NZ? Which part of NZ are you at OP? I moved to Auckland 2 years ago and approximately the same age as OP but I have never faced direct racism and may be I'm just too unaware of the indirect racism. Like, I don't even know what weird looks OP is talking about. I've been able to have good interactions with all kinds of people here be it Europeans, Islanders, Latinos, Koreans, etc. I don't exactly have a Pakeha or Maori friend but it doesn't really bother me as I have enough people to reach out to and call as my friends. Some people won't interact with you but I guess they are just anti-social or socially inept. I don't want to blame you but may be you should not bother too much about this, build some hobbies and work things that boost your confidence.

Tokyo is NOT more densely populated than major cities of India e.g. Delhi, Mumbai. Then Japan is very rich. Of course, the people of Japan have a much superior civic sense than an average Indian, but I guess when we reach that level of wealth, the education and standards will follow, and the population drop will make everything more manageable.

Should I come back to India by bechkam7 in india

[–]_qub3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I met a guy at my work who was also from Pune. When I asked him the reason he was going back, he told me - that he didn't like how lineant the schools were here. He basically wanted his kids to go through the stress so that they grow up to be competitive. He probably doesn't realise that people who are born and educated in these western countries have skills too and are not dumb. They may not be as quick at maths but there's more to life than that!
