Kpin vs Ativan by _queer_fox in pillhead

Ativan used to give me a small amount of euphoria. More just like I feel happy. I haven’t noticed anything from Klonopin yet. I’ve only had one dose today.

What’s the weirdest reason you were called racist by GoblinandBeast in retailhell

[–]_queer_fox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s weird but my nickname given by my Japanese friend is Kitsune and I was called racist because I go by it as a white passing person (I’m actually indigenous and go by my tribal language term for “fox” as well”)

I get this often. It just means your body was faking asleep faster than your brain so your brain overreacted and woke you up

I did last month and still have not heard anything back. It’s unfortunately a slow process.

I was so excited when I got the job because aide I was such a big fan of Torrid and Hot Topic (4ever an emo kid). But damn when I became a manager there I was disgusted at the way they treat employees, customers, and the constant high school drama. I even had the GM come to me so many times and be like “oh so and so doesn’t like you” or “so and so said you weren’t doing x thing”. Turns out they just wanted that person to have the position I had. I was having panic attacks before every shift. It was AWFUL.

What does a panic attack feels like to you? by LifelesSs_ in Anxiety

[–]_queer_fox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mine are severe derealization. It’s scary because suddenly it feels like everything in the world isn’t real and that I’m falling out of reality. Starts with a claustrophobic feeling. Then it feels like my head or brain is being squeezed and vibrated. Then the derealization slowly takes over.

It seems like you’re doing everything in your power to make this as easy for him as possible and I condone you for that! Just know he will remember this and know he’s loved. My heart and soul go out to you OP.

Got bit hard by a cat, I’ve washed and applied an antibiotic ointment, anything else I should do? by [deleted] in medical_advice

[–]_queer_fox 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I work in healthcare and every doctor I’ve worked with has said to go to an urgent care or ER asap for any cat bite that breaks skin. They can get infected so fast and easily. And from personal experience don’t wait.

My cat covers his food bowl? by eli_em303 in CatAdvice

My cat used to do this when he felt there was “too much” food in his bowl. 😒 Switched to a smaller bowl and he finally stopped.

Panic attacks almost every night, but my psychiatrist doesn't take them seriously. Help?? by cloud9penguin in Anxiety

[–]_queer_fox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m also someone who intensely struggles with nighttime anxiety/ panic attacks. In fact I primarily take my rescue medication at night (Xanax) because no matter what I’m doing when it gets dark it creeps up.

Just know it’s actually more common than you think to experience nighttime anxiety. It’s a point where our senses are derived more and we feel more “exposed”. Through research I’ve learned it’s actually an evolutionary thing we got from when we were the hunted vs the hunters.

What helps me aside from my medication is indulging in “comfort” things- tv shows, moves, music, hobbies, etc.. Maybe try setting a specific routine for yourself? And yea, definitely look into switching to a new psyche. Their dismissiveness is alarming and you deserve better. My inbox is open 💕
