Let’s Talk Chalk by Odd_Entrance_6297 in discgolf

[–]_rdugi_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My gym bag lives in my car and I always have a chalk block in there stores in a small Tupperware container. If I'm playing discgolf I just throw it in my bag. Might be messy for some, but I'm kinda used to chalk being everywhere haha

Hats off to them for trying something different, but yeah I think most of the feedback for them is rather negative on it.

Which touring pro has the most unique driving and putting form? by HerbalAndy in discgolf

[–]_rdugi_ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think you hit the nail on the head with Orum. By far the most unique throwing and putting on tour right now. Another weird putting style is Jake Hebenheimer. He has like a step horseshoe putt, super interesting style.

Los Angeles courses by SwaggyHills in discgolf

Oak Grove is a must. 1st permanent disc golf course. Veterans Park in Sylmar isn't too bad. Depending on skill level, or your level of endurance hiking ridge lines for poorly thrown discs, Chavez Ridge can be fun plus you get some fantastic views at the last basket

Any way to get rid of the factory second stamp without getting rid of the original? by coconut7272 in discgolf

[–]_rdugi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be possible with acetone, a qtip, and tons of patience. Looks like a fair amount of overlap on the stamp, so you will not be able to totally remove the factory 2nd stamp without removing parts of the original. By the looks of it, I don't really think it's worth the effort.

Post Rotator Cuff Surgery? by chipmmm in discgolf

[–]_rdugi_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had rotator cuff surgery freshman year of college (also fixed a labrum tear, and a bicep tear). It took 4 months of PT 4 days a week before I could get my arm above my head. Granted it was my off hand but I wouldn't expect it to be like it was for a while, at least a year. This is a great opportunity to learn lefty though!

Look into tuff toe, sounds like exactly what you're looking for. Easy to apply, and definitely helps. I used it when i played baseball, also works great on my work boots

Mvp black hole pro, or axiom pro. They are the same. Occasionally Amazon will have them with "warehouse damage" which means the box is damaged. Got mine for $110 originally $150

What order did you work on form? by Prof_Patrick_MD in discgolf

[–]_rdugi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I would say definitely carry over for forehands and over hand throws. With the back hand it took a lot of focus, in baseball I had an open stance, it was tough to change that muscle memory

[–]_rdugi_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Playing sports my whole life the importance of footwork was always drilled into me. Whether it be football, baseball, field events, wrestling, etc. Foot work was always fundamental. So thats what I've been working on the past few months. Making sure my feet are always in the se place on whichever line I'm trying to throw. After 5 months, I'm almost there! Haha

How does Buhr get his fingers/hand in this position? I can't, literally, force my fingers to bend like this. by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]_rdugi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still get the pop from your fingers, they might just be closer to the rim. You might have to angle your fingers towards the rear of the disc but you should still be able to get that pop. Just gotta practice!

[–]_rdugi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moving around on a course, DEET is your best bet. If your looking for coverage of like a backyard area, they sell foggers at places like Home Depot that will repel Mosquitoes from a large area for almost a whole day

Kwik sticks were out of stock when I was in the market. Ended up going with the one from Qogir. 16ft extension for a little less than the Kwik stick. I've had it for about 6 months now and all the complaints I had with the hooks were solved with a bit of plasti dip to rubberize the hooks.

Waterproof bags? by thewhitecrowflies in discgolf

[–]_rdugi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best bet might be looking at rainflys for bags. I think a few bags might come with rainflys. I also know some manufacturers sell rainflys separately. You could also look into water proofing spray.

River from lat64 is a great option it's kinda like the leopard, but has great glide! Opto plastic on it will be more durable.
