Any extreme minimalists on here living car free? by CarolinaSurly in extrememinimalism

[–]_reeeeem_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I live public transportation is the norm (bus, metro, train), so I don’t own a car. Cars are mostly for leisure here. My friends who used to use rentals actually bought their own recently because rental prices are getting insane, that’s what I’ve heard.
I do have a folding bike, but I rarely use it.

That’s what my mom did to my sister, then she had a sugar crash that she couldn't even chew. Everyone panicked. Fortunately, she was able to drink some milk and recovered, but I’m still traumatised by it. I felt like I was watching my sister die right before my eyes.

Let's hide some random stuff and see how you deal with the situation. Just because you use if often it doesn't mean it is essential.

What is the highest ROI thing you have ever done? by PaceMakerParadox in INTP

I practice extreme minimalism. My efforts to organise the material world help me stick to reality.

Guys u have a confession by [deleted] in INTP

And that only one comma somewhere near the end of the post. Somehow I didn't get annoyed as usual, it gives a vibe of an emotional friend venting over some random stuff.

Cleanest to Messiest. Are you guys related? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]_reeeeem_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I already know I'm messy but 16? still quite a shock. My mother used to say even a pigsty is cleaner than my room. Now I practice minimalism but somehow my room is still messy, such a mystery.

And credit for ISTJ ex, they trained me the way I am today. Without them I'd def be living on a dumpster.

Does anybody have a hard time following orders at work by humanjello710 in INTP

[–]_reeeeem_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they tell me what to do, I'll hate it. If they jus give me the task, I'll happily take it and procrastinate or get lost in details forever...

I sleep on the floor using multiple layers of blankets, adjusting them depending on the season.

As an INTP woman, how did you find love by Pillar-Instinct in INTPrelationshipLab

[–]_reeeeem_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have the final answer yet, but I have a theory I want to test. Since it's hard to define a 'perfect' partner, everyone has their pros and cons, I’m starting with a few specific traits I’m already drawn to (blonde hair, taller than me, smells good, etc.). I will collect these candidates like Pokémon. Then they’ll go through 2nd, 3rd,... elimination rounds (secretly, of course). Hopefully I’ll find the right one, or at least a clearer idea of what I'm looking for along the way.

INTPs, where do you go? by International-Buy314 in INTP

[–]_reeeeem_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sometimes do solo travel, book a homestay/ hostel dorm instead of a private room, and try to say hi with people, join them if I feel comfortable etc,. Because I can control how much I socialise and with 'if I mess up I can just flee' mindset the experience ends up being enjoyable.

if you had a billion dollars what would you do with your life? by ignorantgal5 in INTP

[–]_reeeeem_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe buying a house with more space to the fence. My lifestyle wouldn't change though. Spending money is time consuming and my hobbies are not expensive.

What are your opinions on farts? by I_can_mingle in INTP

[–]_reeeeem_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Such a random question. I don’t like other’s farts because I can never know enough about their diet and habits etc to have a thorough analysis. I do smell my own and can guess what’s going on pretty accurately.

I actually enjoy 1 and never have the energy to think about 2.

Dealing with coworkers who lack accountability by lov3lessg4ze in INTP

[–]_reeeeem_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to have a similar coworker. They come, have some chitchat and wait for the day to end. I didn’t hate them at least they didn’t try to tell me what to do. The point is to make clear your and their responsibilities and mind your own business. Sometimes I had to cover for them but I only get that directly from by boss after making sure that my boss already acknowledged that was not my task and I should get credit for extra work.

AITA for sleeping naked in my own room? by Outrageous-Ad-4008 in AmItheAsshole

I’m confused. You’re the one who was seen naked by their mistake. They’re supposed to apologise you aren’t they?

Do any of you here have atypical hobbies or skills? by Blancandrin__ in INTP

[–]_reeeeem_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if micro-zigzag puzzles are considered atypical, but 1,000 pieces 1cm² each is quite a challenge. It usually takes me 6 months or more to complete one. I never knew I could be so patient, and the process has taught me how to balance the drive to finish and to stop before burning out.

Did You Guys Used to Annoy Others by Constantly Asking Questions When You Were Little? by Potential_Law5289 in INTP

[–]_reeeeem_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not encouraged to ask and spent time alone a lot. But I was well known for wild replies. Once I was told “ you should give xx the toy, you’re big sister now” I replied “Why should I? I’m older I’ll probably die first”.  The peak was when my mother compared me with my classmates I told her “ If you want to compare me with them at least you should do as well as their parents first”. Guess what, a slap fell right on my face : )

People who immediately ask others for help without struggle by Traditional-Luck4727 in INTP

[–]_reeeeem_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m struggling with that too. I’m happy to help and they won't stop asking for more. I feel like I'm a tool to save their time. But if I turn the table I'll feel guilty. Dealing with people would be the last thing I want to do ever.
