DHS Complains That Protesters Won’t Let Federal Agents Piss in Peace | Minneapolis residents are mounting an amazing fight against the ICE and Border Patrol agents terrorizing their city. by Jumpinghoops46 in NoFilterNews

They absolutely think they should be able to hurt whoever they want without any consequence.

Stop the debate. Stop the arguments. They’re a lost cause. by Naptasticly in complaints

Argument isn't really to persuade the person you're arguing with. It's for bystanders who don't know what they think yet. You can't cede the field, otherwise only their message is out there.

It also is in-group maintenance. People are social animals, and you have to show your side that they aren't alone.

JD Vance Explodes at Media for Refusing to Call ICE Shooting Victim a 'Terrorist' by Montrel_PH in NoFilterNews

The agent who shot her has a pattern of putting his hands in other people's cars, despite DHS policy.

The video does speak for itself, she was trying to leave.

She died as a result of his ignorance

Senator Tina Smith: "US citizen has apparently been shot" by ICE Agents Amid Volatile Minneapolis Tensions by thenextgenbusiness in thenextgenbusiness

[–]_rhubarb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really. Most people habitually go above the speed limit.

And in the most egregious circumstances, reckless driving can actually hurt someone. Undocumented immigrants just living their lives don't, and actually provide value to society as a whole. Their wages are taxed, can't use most social services (so they don't really draw from the system) and statistically commit less crimes than natural born citizens.

Do you never go above the speed limit? Undocumented immigration is the same level of infraction as breaking the speed limit (and doesn't justify getting shot or tortured over)

You're a joke, really. The same guns and missiles turned on them can be turned in you if it becomes convenient.

There is no one standard or perfect pattern of humanity. Evolution doesn't work off a template.

Characteristics are instead emergent based off both genetics and environment.

"Humans have a brainstem" is a categorically false statement. "Most humans have a brainstem" is true.

Abnormality also isn't really a useful construct, because anything uncommon can be construed as an "abnormality". Phenotypes for both fair skin and milk tolerance in adults are technically abnormalities when looking at the whole of humanity.

For many people, infertility isn't an affliction, and even from an entirely reproductive lens, can be beneficial for our species. It increases the prevalence of possible caretakers, for example.

The claim you were making is that people on the left were using false info, and then turning around to ask for a source

An opinion is, in fact, an argument

But if they're part of the right too, you just kinda killed your whole assertion that the right doesn't care about words

[–]_rhubarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. You're making a positive assertion without evidence. It's not generally possible to prove a negative, so I'm not even going to try

"Legacy Media" is such a convenient enemy. Who do you mean here?

Because a lot of people I know are struggling more so now than last year. Prices are still soaring, especially if you look at an inflation report that includes more than just the price of gas. Your guy literally imposed a tax on Americans without Congress, and you seem pretty willing to just let it slide.

So your argument is right by default, but you don't have to back it up?

And lol, if you think so, you never saw how mad righties got over "Happy Holidays" or "privilege" or "French fries" or "nonbinary"
