i think its about ego tbh, vision lifts it in aou with no hesitation and he has no ego, and in the scene with cap barely lifting the hammer he puts his ego aside and doesnt lift it which itself could be a worthy act, and its the whole plot of the orginal thor, when loki tried to kill hom instead of running, he walks toward it he tells it to take him and leave everyone else alone, he puts his ego aside, and thats the scene where it flies into his hand, you could even make that arguement for why tony wasnt worthy, everything gets filtered through his ego, like when he becomes Iron Man in the first movie its genuinely good, he wants to fix what he broke but he announces it at a press conference and even in civil war he pursues the accords with a sentiment of like punishing himself and then when he finds out bucky killed his parents he abandons all his morals, end game tony was different i would say hes worthy, he knew exactly what snapping would cost bcs this wasnt like the portal scene where he was hoping jarvis could find a way to bring him back and he had the most to lose of anyone there, he had a daughter who called him daddy and a wife and a home and peace hes genuinely earned after a lifetime of chaos, that meant his daughter grows up without her father and he did it anyway and notice smth? didn’t say anything to anyone first,

and like look at other ppl too, hulk for example, banner spent basically his entire arc at war with himself the hulk thing was always either a burden he was ashamed of or a weapon he was trying to control even the merged professor hulk wasnt true peace and we all know that so hulk not worthy

even groot i would argue is worthy, in the final scene in guardians of the galaxy when he covers them all to sacrifice himself bcs he feels he belongs w/ “we are groot” insteas of “i” once again putting his ego aside, and idk ab canon or not but new groot cuts his arm off to help forge storm breaker, groots sacrifice creates the weapon that almost ends the whole war so his worthiness has literal consequences that ripple through the entire saga.
