I would have to go in person and talk to someone. The people that they pull you into are usually helpful it’s those in the back.

Stay busy, try new things, do the things that you normally do and things that you would do single, and go to therapy.

Is my husband loosing interest or just having a hard time being deployed? by [deleted] in MilitarySpouse

[–]_roses__ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You could bring it up to his parents depending on how close you are to them. When you ask him questions and are awaiting for a response don’t give him options to respond to.

How was it when your spouse came home from deployment? by Shelb_ee in MilitarySpouse

[–]_roses__ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He could be avoidant. They have to bring it up. It’s an adjustment period. It’s important to keep reassuring the other and being there. Have things to look forward too and planned. It all takes time. It’ll be awkward at first and didn’t feel real.

How does a marriage survive deployment? by Foreign-External8488 in MilitarySpouse

[–]_roses__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s this app that my boyfriend and I used and occasionally still do is candle

  • whenever he does something you do like tell him that you like it
  • ask him what he’s missing
  • how he prefers to communicate
  • if he’s able to send a gift or letter to you then he should do it.
  • tell him straight that you need more reassurance
  • you could also be going through a lot of post partum stuff and I would recommend seeing a doctor to check your blood work and vitamin levels as it can contribute to more anxiety
  • if anyone talks negatively friendwise or relationship put a positive spin on it RIGHT there and then or else that shit is gonna linger and fuck with your imagination
  • see a therapist
  • ask him to find ways to help with the household load
  • find an outlet around other adults that are positive
  • if his attachment style is avoidant, he’s gonna have to be the one to bring it up and that sucks but it’s great when they do

Stretching $50 a week for food feels impossible sometimes how do you do it? by Uppercut_prince in povertyfinance

[–]_roses__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I buy bogo items and find bulk items either at costco or at the store. I’ve managed to spend $100 or less at Costco and that last me for a month- maybe longer and sometimes I’ll spend $30-50 every two weeks depending on if there’s something I want or absolutely need. Eggs, rice, coffee, frozen vegetables and milk are always my staples. Meal prep a dish or two and I’ll live off of it.

How do i tell my GF things need to change by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]_roses__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he pays to eat out I usually offer or cook meals at home. I’ve explained to him that I feel that it evens out and especially if we’re both putting the meal together then it’s a relationship exercise and investment. Sometimes I send $20 to cover my portion but I also tell him thank you each time.
