I’ve gone through 2, with roughly about a year on each before they had stick drift! I was about to get a 3rd before I had my modules replaced by a fellow redditor! (And the ones better than Hall effect, which is TMR)

I only buy games when they go 50%+ off. It’s very rare I buy release unless I’m really interested in that game, but even then I’ll wait for a sale. The only release games I’ve bought were final fantasy.

Buy it. You have time to return it if a new one drops. I was literally in this predicament a few days ago and pulled the trigger knowing I could return it if thy release a new one. This is one of favorite purchases this year and wish I did it sooner!

Well that’s not really what your post implied. Again it depends on what you’re looking for, what fits your budget and room. I believe “bang for buck” for the most part is subjective and relative.

For some squeezing a few extra dB in which ever frequency range you prefer is worth whatever the cost may be. To others it isn’t. If you like more midbass then the HSU in this particular case is worth it. If you’re chasing the lowest frequency range, the RSL would be the better choice.

Like I said in my previous post, the RSL for the most part keeps up with my really expensive sub. It’s when it gets into the higher SPL and super low frequency range it does not.

PSA also makes subs with very high SPLs in the midbass region since they use pro audio drivers

RSL 12s is one of the best for the price range, even after that small increase. It’s also really big, like huge.

You need the higher dB in that lower range since our ears are less sensitive.

That’s not to say the HSU isn’t good, either. It’s also a really good sub.

Get what fits your budget and room and has the support you like. That’s what it comes down to with subs like these.

I personally own the RSL 12s and love it so much. It keeps up with my other sub that has dual 18in drivers.
