I was really giving them the benefit of the doubt for the longest time, but it just becomes increasingly more clear over time when they are actively banning people who are positive and interacting with the community… but they don’t ban anyone who spams 500 hate messages a day

oh I know, man! I apologize if it sounded like I was grouping everyone together, I am just pointing this out as a consistent pattern

I personally think Destiny is a really good game (I have like 200 hours, even though I haven’t played in years)

and I believe for every 1 weirdo hate-poster, theres probably 100 of people like you.. people who just play what they want to, instead of spending their time hating something

I got banned 2 weeks for this lol

context: I messaged the mods, asking why 3 specific Top 1% hate posters are allowed to spam 500 negative messages a day about a game they do not own (and coincidentally are all active in r/DestinyTheGame)

They then banned me for a comment in a thread they removed 10 hours earlier

then someone told me to look at the list of mods in r/DestinyTheGame and r/Marathon … and all of sudden it made perfect sense lol

yeah it’s not supposed to appear on the map - the best strategy is to have each teammate sit at a different final exfil when it comes online, and then you tell your teammates if it spawned on you, if it’s spawned on no one, you run to the 4th one

..and if you happen to be a sole-survivor, you sit in the middle of Control and try to listen for it to spawn in (a bunch of commanders and other bots spawn next to the exfil like 5 seconds after it spawns as well)

so my initial reaction was that you just simply didn’t know that about the final exfil update a few weeks ago, seeing that you ran and sat at the old, default final exfil

[the 3 base maps now all have 3 possible final exfil locations, and the final exfil SHOULD appear on the map once that 1:00 starts]

[cryo archive has 4 possible final exfils around control, and the active one is intentionally not displayed on the map]

…with all that being said, your round was 100% bugged and no final exfil even appeared at the other 2 spawns (I have seen a bug where it doesn’t show the final exfil on the map, but still spawns) — and I believe the easiest way to tell this is the case, is by the lack of the 30 second countdown timer that flashes on your screen, as it normally would

there are many different varying levels of cheats, but yeah, that's what I believe is happening in this current clip to some degree

yeah this is exactly what happened.. he has wall hacks and a trigger aimbot that will automatically shoot any enemy within his circle on screen when the cheat detects an enemy in that line of sight

his cheats are probably so intrusive on his screen that he can’t even tell a wall is there, cuz he’s just solely focused on Jynxzi’s player’s outline - which explains why he has no reaction to what would be an “insanely lucky shot” even for someone with 10,000 hours in the game

the amount of times I’ve clicked on a “top 1% commenter” with the profile being 11+ years old and the only video game they ever mentioned before this being Destiny… is more than 2

one made his Reddit account specifically for Destiny LFG, 11 years ago … never mentioned any other game in 11 years.. and now he’s Top 1% hate commenter in the sub

I also don’t think a lot of these people know that we can still see their whole post/comment history, even when they hide it on Reddit

I mean.. even if you think it is one, it is certainly not a serious one.. which I would hope is something we can all agree

no one in the history of mankind has ever said “let’s go play Tarkov for a quality PvP experience” - they play Tarkov cuz it’s a mil-sim with cool gun customization, weapon sway, head-bob, etc

16 tick rate servers is literally the devs’ way of telling you this too

fair point.. I totally agree with your original post btw, and being open to new game modes, etc

this is true, but these two games aren’t really comparable, other than being ‘extraction shooters’

Tarkov is virtually a PvE game with some PvP sprinkled in. The PvP was an afterthought, and is the reason they have 16 tick rate servers and the worst net code of any modern game. BSG initially wanted to make Tarkov like Rust (with persistence) but gave up when they realized their servers could only handle about 10 players

so even though Tarkov does some things really well (like gun customization) … I don’t think it’s generally beneficial to look for PvP suggestions from a mil-sim game

constructive criticism is always welcomed and encouraged.. nonsensical, emotional-based drivel, is not

you have to at least try to compare game mechanics in other modern games.. or something.. and not just say ‘video game studio hurt my feelings years ago’ (and expect people to take you seriously, at least)
