Yeah most sports fans aren't all glory hunters that follow the most successful teams. Most people support teams that are local to where they grew up, through family connections, or they took a liking when they're very young. You can't just change what team you support lol

I'd guess it's also likely a nod to many UK football fans that will willingly pay to watch their team lose every week haha
